What if there are worms in the stool?

When we were very young, most of us have taken anthelmintics. This medicine is used to remove various parasites in the body's intestines. These parasites are mainly caused by not paying attention to dietary hygiene and are eaten into the stomach through food. The worm eggs begin to grow and develop under suitable conditions and also absorb nutrients in the body for their use. Therefore, if worms are found in the stool, anthelmintics should be used as soon as possible.

If worms are found in the stool, it means there are parasites in the intestines, most of which are roundworms or pinworms, and you need to take anthelmintics for treatment. You can go to the hospital or pharmacy to buy medicine for treatment. Ascaris are invertebrates belonging to the phylum Nematoda, class Nematoda, order Ascaris, family Ascaridae. It is the largest parasitic nematode in the human intestine. The adult is slightly pink or yellowish, with horizontal stripes on the body surface, and the male worm's tail is often curled. Ascaris is a species distributed worldwide and is the most common parasite in the human body. The infection rate can reach over 70%, with higher rates in rural areas than in cities and in children than in adults.

Pinworms are parasites that have a limited lifespan of only a few months. The principle of infection with this parasite is to ingest the eggs through the diet. If there are no other obvious symptoms, you can pay attention to dietary hygiene and the symptoms will disappear naturally after a few months.

This kind of stool contains very thin, white or light yellow worms less than 1 cm long, which are alive and are called pinworms. They are more common in children, and adults occasionally get the disease as well, sometimes accompanied by anal itching. The hospital no longer tests for this type of worm so it cannot be detected. Adults should take 2 tablets of intestinal worm clearing on an empty stomach, clean the area around the anus twice a day, and wash hands after defecation, and the disease will be cured soon.

Enterobacteriaceae

It is a disease caused by young red worms that parasitize in the intestines. The main diseases seen in my country are beef and pork red worm diseases.

Clinical manifestations: Half of the patients often have upper abdominal pain, a few may have weight loss, fatigue, increased appetite, etc., and occasionally have neurological symptoms such as neurasthenia, bruxism, insomnia, etc. Mild infection with Hymenolepis shortissima is often asymptomatic, while severe infection may cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dizziness, and weight loss.

The diagnosis is mainly based on the presence of segments of the red worm in stool examination. Porcine cysticercosis can cause encephalopathy, epilepsy, eye disease, subcutaneous tissue and muscle diseases, and can be diagnosed by biopsy.

Cause

1. Source of infection: Humans are the final hosts of Taenia solium and Taenia bovis. Therefore, hotels are the only source of infection for Taenia solium and Taenia bovis diseases. Taenia solium and Taenia bovis eggs are excreted in feces, infecting pigs or cattle respectively and causing cysticercosis. Rats are the worm-carrying hosts of Hymenolepis shortissima. Therefore, rats and humans are the sources of infection of Hymenolepis shortissima disease.

2. Transmission route: Taeniasis in swine and Taeniasis in cattle is caused by eating raw or undercooked pork or beef containing cysticercus. This is related to eating habits, and the cooked food may also be contaminated by tasting raw meat fillings or using raw meat and cooked food on the same chopping board and cooking utensils. Children are more likely to be infected with Hymenolepis shortissima.

3. The average susceptibility is high and everyone can be infected regardless of gender or age. Taeniasis in swine and cattle is more common in young and middle-aged people, with more cases in males than in females. Short membrane shell sleeve extraction is mostly done by children.

4. Epidemic situation: Taeniasis is mainly prevalent in ethnic minority areas such as Zhuizhou, Tibet, Sichuan, Guangxi, Xinjiang, Ningxia, etc., and is often endemic. Swine Taeniasis is common in Northeast China, North China, Henan, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia, Shanghai and other places, and most of them are sporadic. The short-shelled crimson worm is mainly found in North China and Northeast China.
