Symptoms of miscarriage in the first few days of pregnancy

We should pay attention when we are pregnant, because a woman's body will naturally experience a decrease in immunity during pregnancy. Sometimes some sudden symptoms are unavoidable, including miscarriage just a few days into pregnancy. This situation is caused by certain reasons, and its symptoms are also relatively special. So what are the symptoms of miscarriage just a few days into pregnancy?

Vaginal bleeding and increased abdominal pain, be careful of miscarriage: It develops from threatened abortion, at this time the amount of vaginal bleeding increases, paroxysmal lower abdominal pain worsens or vaginal discharge occurs (rupture of membranes). Gynecological examination shows that the cervix is dilated, and sometimes embryonic tissue or fetal sac can be seen blocking the cervix. The size of the uterus is consistent with the number of weeks of amenorrhea or slightly smaller.

In the case of miscarriage in early pregnancy, you must be careful about incomplete miscarriage: the products of conception have been partially expelled from the body, but some remain in the uterine cavity, which develops into inevitable miscarriage. Because some products of pregnancy remain in the uterine cavity, uterine contraction is affected, resulting in continuous uterine bleeding and even hemorrhagic shock due to excessive bleeding.

Threatened abortion: A small amount of vaginal bleeding occurs first, often followed by paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or back pain. Gynecological examination shows that the cervix is not dilated, the fetal membranes are not ruptured, the products of conception have not been expelled, the size of the uterus is consistent with the number of weeks of amenorrhea, and there is hope of continuing the pregnancy. After rest and treatment, if the bleeding stops and the lower abdominal pain disappears, the pregnancy can continue; if the vaginal bleeding increases or the lower abdominal pain worsens, miscarriage may become inevitable.

When a pregnant woman has threatened miscarriage, whether it will lead to miscarriage often depends on whether the embryo is abnormal. If the embryo is normal, after rest and treatment, the cause of miscarriage is eliminated and the bleeding stops. Pregnancy can continue; miscarriage caused by fetal abnormalities should be regarded as natural selection.

After the occurrence of threatened miscarriage, pregnant women should pay attention to rest, reduce activity, refrain from sexual intercourse, avoid unnecessary vaginal examinations, reduce stimulation to the uterus, and avoid excessive mental stress, otherwise it will cause miscarriage. After the bleeding stops, it is best to rest for two weeks before returning to work. Drug treatment is also an important factor in the pregnancy. Progesterone can ensure the development of the embryo, maintain pregnancy, inhibit the contraction of uterine smooth muscle, and reduce the tension of the uterus. In early pregnancy, progesterone can be used to maintain pregnancy, or intramuscular injection of human chorionic gonadotropin can be used for treatment. Sedatives and beta-blockers (such as salbutamol) can be used in the second and third trimesters to reduce mental stimulation and inhibit uterine contractions. In addition, oral vitamin E is also beneficial for maintaining embryonic development.

It should be noted that since miscarriage often causes certain damage to a woman's body, including damage to the endometrium, endocrine disorders and emotional trauma, it is best to consider becoming pregnant again 6 months after the miscarriage, until the endometrium is completely repaired and the systemic endocrine system has returned to normal. Pre-pregnancy consultation should be done and necessary examinations and measures should be taken to prevent miscarriage.
