What to do if you haven't gotten pregnant in two years of trying to conceive

Having a baby is a very normal and common thing for married women. Most women need to prepare for pregnancy before getting pregnant, and the preparation time can be as short as three months or as long as half a year to a year. After that, you will have your own baby smoothly. However, what should some women do if they have been trying to get pregnant for two years but have not been able to get pregnant? The purpose of preparing for pregnancy is to have a smarter and healthier baby, but if you haven’t gotten pregnant for two years, you need to see a doctor.

Why can’t I get pregnant after preparing for pregnancy for a long time?

1. Ovulation dysfunction. Ovarian ovulation disorder is one of the reasons why women cannot get pregnant even after having sex. Such as polycystic ovary syndrome, premature ovarian failure, ovarian cysts, corpus luteum insufficiency, etc., will affect the normal ovulation function of the ovaries. Go to the hospital as soon as possible to monitor ovulation and see if it is normal.

If the follicles do not develop well, the harm is great. Not only will ovulation not occur normally or the quality of the eggs discharged is poor, affecting normal conception and fertility, but even if the sperm and egg combine, miscarriage, stillbirth, etc. will easily occur. Therefore, we women should seek treatment early. After adjusting the follicle development to a normal state, women can finally consider pregnancy.

2. The fallopian tube is blocked. If the fallopian tubes are blocked, it will be difficult for sperm and eggs to combine and fertilize, and the fertilized egg cannot be formed normally, resulting in the inability to get pregnant even if having sex.

3. Abnormal development of reproductive organs. Some women cannot get pregnant after having sex because of abnormal development of their reproductive organs. For example, congenital or acquired reproductive organ diseases may hinder the patency and function of the reproductive tract from the vulva to the fallopian tube, preventing the sperm and egg from meeting and fertilizing, resulting in infertility.

4. Sexual life disorder and lack of sexual knowledge. Some women cannot get pregnant after having sex because of lack of relevant knowledge, or because of sexual dysfunction, systemic diseases, and unknown reasons. It accounts for about 1/3 of the causes of infertility.

What should men pay attention to when preparing for pregnancy

1. Go to bed early and get up early. The so-called "work at sunrise and rest at sunset" is the most natural state of life. Among today's urban population, only a few can do this. Therefore, before pregnancy, adjusting your daily routine to suit the natural laws of life will help your body reach its best condition. It is recommended that prospective parents who are planning to become pregnant should prepare for bed around 10 o'clock every night. If they stick to this routine, they can establish a normal rhythm of their body's biological clock.

2. Exercise. Whether it is the father or the mother, normal body functions are the prerequisite for conceiving a baby. If you want to have a strong body, you must insist on physical exercise to strengthen your body, enhance your immunity, and relax yourself from fatigue and anxiety through exercise. The time for exercise before pregnancy should not be less than 15 to 30 minutes a day, and it is generally best to exercise in the early morning. Recommended exercise activities: jogging, walking, aerobics, boxing, mountain climbing, picnics and other activities. It is not recommended to cycle for long periods of time.

3. Keep a happy mood. Don’t think that only expectant mothers will suffer from "depression". In fact, emotional factors also have a significant impact on male sexual function. For men who are often depressed, worried, or bad-tempered, it often causes dysfunction of the cerebral cortex, unstable endocrine function, testicular spermatogenesis, and sexual function, affecting the production and quality of sperm.
