Delayed menstruation and dull abdominal pain

Delayed menstruation and dull abdominal pain

Menstruation is a physiological phenomenon that every woman will experience every month. Due to the different physical health conditions and constitutions of each woman, there will be many different reactions during menstruation. Menstruation is a very important thing for women. During menstruation, you must pay attention to keeping your body warm and adjust your diet. If menstruation is delayed, you should go to the hospital for examination in time.

The menstrual cycle is generally 21-35 days, with an average of 28 days.

Normal menstruation is cyclical. How to calculate the menstrual cycle? The first day of menstrual bleeding is regarded as the beginning of the menstrual cycle, and the interval between the first days of two menstrual periods is called a menstrual cycle. How many days is a normal menstrual cycle? The length of a woman's menstrual cycle varies from person to person. The menstrual cycle is generally 28 days. Occasionally, it may be advanced or delayed by no more than 7 days and is still considered normal. That is, the menstrual cycle should not be less than 21 days and cannot exceed 35 days. Such a menstrual cycle is normal.

The normal menstrual cycle is 21-35 days, with an average of 28 days. Generally speaking, it is normal for menstruation to be advanced or delayed by about a week. Some women's menstrual cycles will become longer. There are many reasons for long menstrual cycles, which can be divided into the following categories: central nervous system-hypothalamic abnormalities; pituitary abnormalities refer to pituitary lesions that cause abnormal secretion of gonadotropin, which may be congenital factors or acquired lesions; ovarian abnormalities are due to congenital ovarian dysplasia, ovarian dysfunction or secondary lesions that cause menstrual abnormalities. The specific reasons for long menstrual cycles are:

1. Endometriosis:

The occurrence of endometriosis will affect the contraction of the uterine muscle layer or the enhancement of the endometrium. The enhancement of the endometrium will lead to a prolonged endometrial shedding time, resulting in excessive menstrual cycles or prolonged menstruation.

2. Placement of IUD:

When an IUD is placed, the endometrium is compressed by the ring, causing inflammatory infiltration of cells, which can easily lead to prolonged menstruation.

3. Uterine leiomyoma:

Especially for submucosal uterine fibroids, this is because the area of the uterine cavity is enlarged, leading to abnormal uterine contraction, which may cause excessive menstrual cycles and prolonged menstruation.

4. Uterine dysfunction bleeding:

For example, anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding and irregular endometrial shedding are both caused by endocrine dysfunction, which leads to a longer menstrual cycle.

5. Chronic uterine hypertrophy:

Due to pelvic congestion, ovarian estrogen continues to increase, causing thickening of the uterine muscle layer and formation of chronic uterine hypertrophy, resulting in excessive menstrual cycles and prolonged menstruation.

6. Blood diseases:

Diseases such as thrombocytopenic purpura and aplastic anemia are often accompanied by menstrual cycles. If severe uterine bleeding occurs, the menstrual period will be prolonged. Other conditions such as chronic anemia, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, nephritis, etc. can make the blood vessel walls fragile, increase permeability and cause bleeding.

7. Others:

Pelvic inflammation, intrauterine polyps, uterine inflammation, etc. are all caused by poor intrauterine blood circulation, degeneration and necrosis, or pelvic congestion, which lead to excessive menstrual cycles and prolonged menstruation.
