How to guide breastfeeding?

Many women may breastfeed after giving birth. This may have an impact on the body and is not good for the baby. Therefore, you must have knowledge in this area so that you can deal with it calmly. It is also very beneficial for you. The following editor will introduce some knowledge about breastfeeding. After you understand it, you can breastfeed correctly.

1. Pay attention to nipple care in the weeks leading up to the due date: you can apply hot towels to your nipples every night to help the keratinized epithelium on the nipples fall off; for pregnant women with inverted nipples, you can also lift the nipples outward to avoid difficulty for the baby to suck in the future. But be careful not to start nipple care too early, because nipple stimulation can induce uterine contractions, and doing it too early may cause the risk of premature birth.

2. The earlier the baby sucks, the earlier the mother will secrete milk; the more the baby sucks, the more milk the mother will secrete. Therefore, it is important to emphasize again that the baby must be allowed to suck early after delivery.

3. When breastfeeding, the mother must let the baby hold the nipple tightly, taking in the entire nipple and most of the areola to achieve effective sucking. If the baby only holds a little bit, it is easy to break the skin of the mother's nipple. If the skin is broken, it will be much more difficult for the mother to continue.

4. If the baby cannot finish one breast at one time, remember to feed the baby from that breast first during the next feeding, and let it empty before feeding the baby from the other breast. It is to give each breast a chance to empty, to prevent milk from accumulating in the breast and causing milk duct blockage, breast nodule formation, and even mastitis.

5. Consciously train your baby to gradually extend the intervals between feedings so that the baby's gastrointestinal tract and the mother's body have time to rest; do not let the baby sleep with the nipple in his mouth.

There are many things that mothers need to pay attention to when breastfeeding, otherwise it is likely to have a certain impact on the nipples. Therefore, it is not bad for you to know this knowledge. This will enable you to make timely adjustments to your body. It is also very necessary for every woman to do this, so that it is good for the body.
