Dietary principles in the second week after cesarean section: focus on preventing and treating back pain. It contracts the uterus and pelvic cavity, focuses on the recovery of the waist and pelvic cavity, promotes metabolism, and prevents back pain. It is also the main axis of postpartum weight loss, mainly strengthening the bone and waist and kidney functions and restoring the pelvis. The food is the same as the first week after caesarean section. New mothers can refer to the recommended confinement menu for the first week. For the medicinal food, use Eucommia ulmoides instead, and you can add Eucommia ulmoides tea as a beverage.

Recommended diet for the second week of confinement after cesarean section

① Longan and red dates porridge (replenishes blood, soothes nerves and nourishes the heart)

Recipe ingredients: Ingredients: 200g rice, 10 dried longans, 6 red dates

Seasoning: 1 teaspoon of shredded ginger, appropriate amount of white sugar (or brown sugar)

Preparation method: 1. Wash the red dates and remove the core; remove the shell and core of the longan, and rinse the flesh.

2. Bring the water to a boil and add the rice. After boiling, add the red dates and shredded ginger to cook the porridge. After the porridge is ready, add the longan meat and sugar and cook for 5-6 minutes.

②Papaya loach soup (lactation)

Recipe ingredients: 1 papaya, 2 bull loaches (about 600 grams), 15 grams of ginger, 5 grams of almonds, 8 candied dates, a little lard and salt.

Preparation method: 1. Scrape the papaya skin, remove the core, wash with clean water, and cut into thick pieces; remove the scales, gills, and internal organs of the bull loach, and wash; wash the almonds and candied dates separately.

2. Place the pot on the fire, add lard and heat it, put in the bull loach and fry until fragrant, then serve.

③ Stir-fried kidneys (helps uterus contraction and promotes metabolism)

Recipe ingredients: 1. A pair of fresh pork kidneys, fried old ginger, sesame oil, and rice wine.

2. Old ginger: Slice with the skin, making sure the slices are of uniform thickness so that they do not turn black. The dosage is 60 grams for every 10 kg of postpartum body weight.

3. Sesame oil: Take 6 ml for every 10 kg of body weight.

4. Appropriate amount of rice wine or rice wine water

Preparation method: 1. Take a pair of fresh pork kidneys every day, wipe them dry with rice wine, cut them into clean kidneys, make oblique cuts on the surface, and then cut them into small pieces about 3 cm wide.

2. Fry the ginger with sesame oil until it turns light brown, then place it next to the pot. Bring the water to a boil, then turn off the heat immediately and eat it while it is hot. Add little or no salt.
