What medicine to use for sunburned skin

When the weather is hot, even if we take various sun protection measures when going out, our skin still often gets sunburned. Sunburned skin often experiences varying degrees of stinging and burning sensations, and even causes strong discomfort when changing clothes. Therefore, in the summer, it is necessary to have some medicines for treating sunburns at home. So what medicine is effective for sunburned skin?

Treatment options include:

1. Use ice water for cold wet compress or non-condensing cold medicine for emergency skin care; apply calamine lotion, zinc oxide or Fuqing cream externally; if necessary, take chlorpheniramine, prednisone orally and take corresponding symptomatic treatment. Generally, symptoms begin to subside and the patient will recover after two or three days of treatment.

Sunburn is a phototoxic reaction of the skin, which has a great impact on the skin and will accelerate skin aging, making the skin rough, thickened, and dull, coarsening the skin texture, and causing wrinkles and spots to appear earlier. Therefore, be careful of the ultraviolet rays in the sun to prevent sunburn.

Watermelon peel skin application

Method: Apply watermelon rind on sunburned arms and rub repeatedly. Soon, the juice of the watermelon rind will be absorbed by the dehydrated skin. If you repeat this process many times, the symptoms of sunburn will be greatly alleviated. If you use a scraper to scrape the watermelon rind into thin slices and apply it on sunburned skin, it will help the skin to fully absorb the watermelon juice. Principle: Since watermelon peel contains vitamin C, it has anti-inflammatory and whitening effects when applied to the skin, so it can treat sunburned skin.

2. Immediately rinse twice with warm water to thoroughly remove sweat, grease and other dirt from the face and body skin.

3. For face and back that feel burning after sun exposure, you can soak a towel with cold water, or wrap ice cubes in a towel and apply a cold compress to allow the skin to slowly return to normal as it cools down. After two or three days of such care, the burning and stinging of the skin will subside.

4. When the stinging sensation disappears, the skin will feel slightly rough. At this time, you can apply skin care lotion, massage the skin, and then apply some nourishing skin care cream to replenish nutrients to the skin.

5. Small blisters will appear when the skin is burned deeper. Do not puncture the blisters with a needle or scratch the skin. Apply antibiotic ointment to these areas to control skin inflammation, and then cover them with sterilized gauze to protect the skin wound.

6. The burned skin will peel off after three or four days. Do not peel it off with your hands at this time, let it fall off by itself, and during the peeling process, mix a little milk with water, dip cotton in it and apply it on the skin. This will help the skin to adjust itself, relieve pain and accelerate skin recovery.
