Breast sclerosis is a very common disease in daily life. It causes great harm to the patient's physical health and will also seriously affect their normal life and work, so it is particularly important to understand relevant knowledge and find scientific and effective treatment methods. When people find relevant symptoms, they need to seek medical treatment in time and choose appropriate treatment methods according to their actual situation.1It is generally believed to be related to endocrine disorders and mental factors. That is, it may be related to ovarian dysfunction, abnormal ratio of estrogen to progesterone, decreased secretion of progesterone, and increased secretion of estrogen and prolactin, leading to hyperplasia of breast tissue and the disease. 2 Under normal circumstances, the human body maintains normal physiological functions under the joint regulation of the endocrine and nervous systems, and various hormones are in a balanced state. If the balance is broken due to various reasons, various clinical symptoms of endocrine disorders will appear. 3 Clinical manifestations This disease is more common in middle-aged people, and the time from onset to medical treatment is about 2 years, which is about 5 years earlier than that of cystic hyperplasia of the breast. Periodic breast pain and lumps are the main manifestations of this disease. 1. Cyclic pain The symptoms are increased breast pain and enlargement of the lump before menstruation, and reduced or alleviated pain and smaller lump after menstruation. This type of cyclical pain often varies depending on the type of lesion. In the lobular hyperplastic type, the periodic pain is very obvious, in the fibroadenosis type, the pain is relieved, and in the sclerosis type, there is almost no pain. The pain is often distending, stabbing or dull pain, and may radiate to the affected armpit and shoulder. 2. Breast lumps There are often multiple lumps, which may affect both breasts but can also be single. The lumps are generally small, with a diameter of more than 2 cm. The shapes of the lumps vary, including flakes, nodules, and cords, with unclear edges. The hardness of the mass varies with the degree of fibrous tissue proliferation. The lobular hyperplasia type has a tough texture; the fibroadenosis type has a medium hardness; the sclerosing adenosis type has a hard texture and is sometimes misdiagnosed as cancer. The tenderness of the mass is more obvious in the lobular hyperplasia type, followed by the fibroadenosis type, and there is no tenderness in the sclerosing adenosis type. Breast lumps and pain often change due to emotional changes such as chest tightness, irritability, etc., especially in patients with lobular hyperplasia, when their emotions fluctuate and they get angry, the pain worsens and the lumps become larger and harder. 3. Menstrual disorders Patients with lobular hyperplasia often have irregular menstruation, short menstrual periods, and small menstrual volumes. |
