Ovarian dermoid cysts are actually mature cystic teratomas among germ cell tumors. This situation may occur in women of any age. However, among patients with ovarian dermoid cysts, according to statistics, we found that most patients are women of childbearing age. Patients in this age group account for 80% to 90%. Patients with ovarian dermoid cysts generally do not have any discomfort symptoms.

When the size of the tumor increases with the course of the disease, there will be various uncomfortable symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating and compression. If the tumor becomes infected, twisted or ruptured, patients with ovarian dermoid cysts will have symptoms of acute abdominal discomfort. Therefore, it is different from ovarian dermoid cysts.
