Leucorrhea is a normal secretion from the female private parts, which is usually white or colorless. However, under certain circumstances, a woman's leucorrhea is no longer white, but may be other colors. The phenomenon of yellow leucorrhea often occurs. For this abnormality, women must be worried about potential health problems, so they hope to use medication to restore leucorrhea to normal as soon as possible. So, what should we do if the leucorrhea is yellow and what medicine should we use? Let’s take a look below.

【Yellow leucorrhea caused by inflammation】

If the leucorrhea is yellow with odor or milky white and purulent, and accompanied by abdominal pain, caused by chronic cervicitis or candidal vaginitis, Baofukang suppository or Gynecological Qianjin tablets can be used for treatment. The main ingredients of Baofukang suppository are Curcuma oil (containing more than 20 chemical components) and borneol, which have the effects of promoting qi and removing blood stasis, promoting tissue regeneration and relieving pain. It is mainly used for leucorrhea caused by damp-heat and blood stasis, such as candidal vaginitis, mixed vaginitis, cervical erosion, etc.

【Yellow leucorrhea caused by amoeba】

The treatment principle for yellow leucorrhea with blood or viscous secretions caused by amoeba infection is mainly systemic treatment combined with local treatment. Commonly used drugs include:

1. Take 0.25g of carbachol twice a day for 10 days as a course of treatment;

2. Metronidazole 200-400 mg 3 times a day for 10-14 days as a course of treatment;

3. Brucea javanica is effective against acute amoeba and can also be used for chronic patients and carriers. Take 10 to 15 Brucea javanica kernels orally 3 times a day for 7 days as a course of treatment. Local treatment: The above-mentioned drugs can be made into solutions for vaginal washing or made into powders and suppositories and inserted into the vagina once a day for 7 to 10 days as a course of treatment.

【Yellow leucorrhea caused by fungal infection】

The leucorrhea turns yellow and white, and is mostly sticky, but sometimes thin. It is typically milky white, like bean dregs, or in the form of curd-like white flakes or lumps. Most of the time, it is caused by fungal infection. In such cases, potassium permanganate powder or Baofukang suppository is generally used.
