Increased leucorrhea during the luteal phase

Increased leucorrhea during the luteal phase

Women all know that they have a safe ovulation period, but they don’t know that there is also a luteal phase. The luteal phase refers to the period from ovulation to the day before menstruation. The chance of conception during the luteal phase is higher than that of the whole period. However, because menstruation is about to come, many women will experience increased vaginal discharge during the luteal phase. So what is the reason for increased vaginal discharge during the luteal phase?

Leucorrhea is the secretion from women's private parts. Through leucorrhea we can get some information about the physical condition of the body. So, what does leucorrhea during the luteal phase look like? Have you ever found out about this? We shouldn't feel embarrassed about these things and avoid understanding them. I hope that through the following information about luteal phase leucorrhea, everyone can have a better understanding.

The consistency of leucorrhea also changes with the cyclical changes of estrogen and progesterone. During ovulation, the leucorrhea is transparent and stringy. After ovulation, if there is no pregnancy, it turns into corpus luteum, and the amount of leucorrhea secretion and viscosity increase. Pay attention to whether there are any changes in the color or smell of vulvar itching secretions. If found, go to the hospital for examination in time. Your vaginal discharge is just slightly yellowish now. You can use potassium permanganate solution to clean it. Pay attention to hygiene and keep the vulva clean and dry.

Generally speaking, before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands are stimulated to proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water. At first glance, it looks like egg white hanging on the edge of the eggshell, thin, transparent and sticky, and in a thread-like shape, with a thread-like degree of more than 10 cm. Under an electron microscope, you can see that it is composed of countless fibrin filaments. These thin filamentous proteins are arranged in parallel to form tiny tubes that are filled with water and nutrients. After ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, making the leucorrhea thick, milky white, less ductile, and easy to break when drawn.
