Medication for itching in lower body

Medication for itching in lower body

If you feel itching in your lower body and secrete dregs of leucorrhea, you should pay attention, because this condition is consistent with the symptoms of many gynecological diseases, so you need to be alert to the occurrence of the disease. There are many diseases that cause this type of symptoms, such as candidal vaginitis, which is relatively common. The general treatment method is through medication.

How to use medicine for candidal vaginitis

Fungal vaginitis is a vaginitis caused by infection with Candida albicans, a type of fungus. Mild infections may cause no symptoms. The most common symptoms are vulvar itching and increased vaginal discharge. The typical case is white tofu-like leucorrhea, and a layer of white film may form on the inside and outside of the labia minora and the vaginal mucosa. Vulvar itching often spreads gradually from the inner side of the labia minora to the vulva, causing extreme itching that is often unbearable for patients. It is often accompanied by vulvar burning sensation, pain, and dyspareunia. Secondary pyogenic infection may cause purulent leucorrhea. Inflammatory infection of the vaginal mucosa may cause bloody leucorrhea and superficial ulcers of the mucosa. Secondary urinary tract infection will cause symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. The diagnosis can be confirmed by having the above clinical symptoms and finding white Candida hyphae and spores in vaginal secretions. The following points should be noted during treatment:

(1) Once diagnosed, treatment should be initiated actively to achieve a complete cure; otherwise, the disease will persist and recur, causing the patient much distress.

(2) Pay attention to personal hygiene and change underwear frequently. Used underwear, basins, towels, etc. should be washed with boiling water and dried in the sun.

(3) Antibiotics and hormone drugs should be used rationally, and those with diabetes should actively treat the primary disease.

(4) The main treatment for fungal infections is topical medication. Because fungi are not easy to grow in alkaline environments, you can use an alkaline solution plus 2% to 4% sodium bicarbonate solution to rinse the vulva and vagina, and then insert Baofukang suppositories or nystatin tablets into the vagina once a night for 7 to 14 days as a course of treatment. Baofukang suppositories have a good effect on candidal vaginitis.

(5) Those who suffer from repeated fungal infections or those who cannot be cured after long-term treatment should undergo a comprehensive systemic examination to rule out diabetes and other organ infections. At the same time, pay attention to the irrational use of antibiotics and hormone drugs. If necessary, local medications such as Baofukang suppositories or oral ketoconazole can be used under the guidance of a doctor.

(6) Pregnant women suffering from candidal vaginitis should receive serious treatment. Local suppositories are mainly used to prevent neonatal infection.

How to use medicine for Trichomonas vaginitis

Trichomonas vaginitis is a common gynecological disease, and the pathogen is Trichomonas vaginalis. The main modes of transmission are through the bathtub, shower, poorly disinfected medical equipment or unclean sexual intercourse. Because Trichomonas is very active and adaptable, it often hides in the prostate and urethra of men without causing disease, but it can be transmitted to women through ejaculation during sexual intercourse. During treatment, metronidazole can be taken orally, generally 200 mg each time, 3 times a day, for 7 consecutive days. Patients with more serious conditions should take the medication continuously for 14 days. In some stubborn cases, vaginal administration is required in addition to oral medication.

How to eliminate vaginal yeast

For some patients, symptoms will improve or disappear quickly after oral and topical treatments, but this does not mean that fungal vulvovaginitis has been cured, but that Candida has been temporarily suppressed. Patients must not stop taking the medicine, but should follow the doctor's instructions, complete the course of treatment (the medicine can be suspended during menstruation), and then go to the hospital for a gynecological examination and microscopic examination of vaginal secretions after the menstruation is over. A negative result means that the patient has recovered recently. Treatment will continue if necessary. Only when gynecological examinations and microscopic examinations of vaginal secretions show no abnormalities for three consecutive months can it be considered completely cured.
