Vulva HPV18

Vulva HPV18

HPV is the human papillomavirus infection, which can cause genital tract infection such as genital warts. The prevalence of genital warts is still very high, ranking second only to gonorrhea. It is mainly spread directly through sexual intercourse, and newborn babies can also be infected through the birth canal of sick mothers. What do we need to know about the occurrence of HPV18 positive test in the private parts? If the HPV18 test is positive, a colposcopy is recommended first. Under the colposcopy, a cervical biopsy and pathology test are performed, and the treatment is decided based on the pathology report. This is the three-step screening of cervical disease. The first step is to do cervical cytology and virology tests, that is, TCT and HPV. If there is a high-risk human papillomavirus infection, such as HPV18 positive, a colposcopy should be done next. Pathology is taken based on the condition under the colposcopy, and a valid diagnosis is made based on the results of the pathology. Finally, the actual treatment plan is decided based on the pathology results.

The dangerous period of HPV virus infection is 2 weeks to 8 months, the average incubation period is 3 months, and the patients are more common in young women. The symptoms are not too obvious. Some patients have vulvar itching, burning sensation or pain after sexual intercourse. At the beginning of the disease, there will be small scattered papillary warts, which are soft and have slight protrusions, or small and pointed papules, which are relatively hard in texture and pink or milky white in color. As the disease progresses, the papules will gradually expand and increase in size, combining with each other to form cockscomb-shaped or cauliflower-shaped growths, and the tops may also become keratinized or infected and ulcerated. Most of the changes occur in the vulva or urethra.

HPV infection has a great impact on the body, among which early sexual life, multiple sexual partners, weakened immunity, smoking and high estrogen levels are all high-risk factors for the disease. During pregnancy, genital warts grow very rapidly, and there are many of them, and they are large in size, which may block the entire birth canal. At this stage, the tissues of genital warts are very sensitive, and it is very easy to cause internal bleeding during delivery. And genital warts can also be spread to the fetus through the birth canal. There is currently no way to eradicate HPV infection, and treatment is mainly focused on removing genital warts, improving symptoms, and enhancing the body's immune system. For pregnant patients, private parts care should be done well. If the growth area of genital warts is very large, pregnant women at or near full term should make preparations in advance and choose cesarean section for delivery.

HPV infection should be prevented in advance. You should pay attention to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic, avoid disordered sexual behavior, and develop a good lifestyle. Patients who have already developed HPV infection should also adjust their mentality, relieve mental worries and stress, and go to the hospital for treatment in time to increase the chance of recovery. Immediate relatives or sexual partners of HPV-infected patients should also receive treatment at the same time and cooperate closely to achieve early recovery.
