Does ovulation cause abdominal pain?

Why does the abdomen hurt during ovulation? This is a relatively normal phenomenon, so don't worry too much. During this period, you should pay attention to dietary health, avoid eating raw, cold or irritating foods, and also pay attention to keeping your abdomen warm and avoid catching cold.

1. Your stomach may hurt during ovulation

To understand this problem, you need to know what ovulation is. Ovulation is the process of an egg being released from the follicle. In the ovary, the egg gradually grows and develops under the regulation of hormones. After reaching a certain stage of development, the follicle ruptures and the egg is discharged from the body along with the follicular fluid, corona radiata, and follicular cells. Of course, the rupture of the follicle means trauma and may cause pain, but some people don’t feel anything during ovulation. In fact, the pain caused by the rupture of the follicle is very small. Some people are too sensitive to pain, and a little stimulation will cause pain, so they will feel it. Similarly, the part that doesn't feel anything is not very sensitive to this kind of pain.

2. Ovulation pain is normal

The pain caused by the rupture of the follicle due to ovulation is a normal physiological phenomenon. Will my stomach hurt during ovulation? 3. How long does the ovulation period last?

The ovaries of women of normal childbearing age release only one egg per month.
