Abortion is also called artificial abortion, or termination of pregnancy. There are many ways of abortion. Generally speaking, it is to terminate the continued development of the embryo. The most common methods are artificial abortion and medical abortion. Another method of abortion is the saline method and the prostaglandin stimulation method, which are all common methods of abortion. When a woman has an unexpected pregnancy, she must be cautious when choosing an abortion. 1. Artificial abortion Most abortions are performed during the first twelve weeks, when the fetus is still small enough to be sucked out with a powerful suction device that is twenty-five times more powerful than an ordinary household vacuum cleaner. This method is called suction excision. The force of the suction device tears or twists the fetus's body, tearing off the limbs one by one until only the head is left. The fetus's head is too large to pass through the suction tube, so the abortionist needs to insert forceps into the uterus, grab the lone floating head, and then crush it until it can pass through the suction tube, and then the head is removed. 2. Abortion drugs Used in the early stages of pregnancy, drugs are used to disrupt the endocrine system of pregnant women, causing them to secrete various hormones that are not suitable for the survival of the embryo, stimulate reproductive system abnormalities, change the embryo's development environment, and cause the embryo to die and then leak out. 3. Another abortion method is the saline method It is the salt poisoning method, which is used from the fourth to the seventh month and was the most commonly used method in the 1970s. The procedure involves inserting a three-and-a-half to four-inch needle through the mother's abdominal wall into the amniotic sac, extracting 200mm of amniotic fluid, and then replacing it with a strong saline solution. In this procedure, the fetus swallows the salt and "breathes" it. Basically, the salt burns the fetus' skin all over its body, slowly poisoning it. The mother then goes into labor and passes out a dead, burned, and shrunken baby. 4. Stimulation with prostaglandin: Prostaglandins are hormone-like compounds that, when injected or applied to the uterine muscle, can disrupt blood circulation to the fetus, causing it to contract violently and then be expelled. Because prostaglandins are not directly toxic to the unborn fetus, this method of abortion results in more failed abortions than the saline method. Failed abortions cause great distress to medical personnel, especially the mother: the baby struggles for life, gasps for breath, throbs and moves about. 5. Hysterectomy Used between six and eight months, this method is different from a caesarean section in only one way: the entire operation is intended to kill the baby, not to save him. The operation involves cutting open the abdomen, going directly into the uterus, taking out the baby, and then leaving it to die without care, or strangling it to death inside the mother's body (a baby cannot be strangled outside the womb). Once the baby is outside the womb, he cannot be killed; otherwise the doctor is committing murder. |
