How to do an endometrial biopsy

Uterine wall puncture biopsy is to scrape the uterine wall cells for examination. Provide important diagnostic evidence for clinicians. The standard value test result was negative. How is a uterine wall biopsy performed?

Generally, a curettage or hysteroscopy is performed first, and a puncture biopsy of the uterine wall is performed. If tuberculosis of the uterine wall is found during the puncture biopsy, anti-tuberculosis treatment is required first.

Unsuitable groups: women during menstruation and those with abnormal leucorrhea. Taboos before the test: Sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited three days before the test. The test should be done 3-7 days after the menstrual period ends. If abnormal bleeding occurs, it can be checked at any time. The examination requires that: there may be bleeding at the biopsy site, so do not have sexual intercourse within 1-2 weeks after the examination, and wait at least half a month after the biopsy to avoid inflammation and infection. Vaginal douching or tub bathing is prohibited. If vaginal bleeding is heavy, you should go to the hospital for a physical examination and treatment.
