What’s wrong with a small cervix? How can I give birth?

The uterus is the base camp for nurturing offspring and the hotbed for fetal development. Therefore, people are very concerned about the health of the uterus, especially female friends who care deeply about the uterus. The uterus is also an organ where female gynecological problems are more concentrated, which has a great impact on women's health. For example, what happens if the cervix is small and how to give birth?

The cervix has opened, and the baby will soon be born, usually in about 10 hours. However, you can try the following method, which will be beneficial to production. When the cervix dilates and labor pains occur, first press the Hegu point (the Hegu point on the human body is located on the back of the hand, between the 1st and 2nd metacarpal bones, at the midpoint of the radial side of the 2nd metacarpal bone), then press the Sanyinjiao point (located on the inner side of the calf, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, behind the inner edge of the tibia), press the acupoints for about 1 minute, until you feel local soreness, numbness, and swelling. Thereafter, press both points once every 10 to 15 minutes as labor pains occur until the cervix is fully dilated and the second stage of labor begins. Stop pressing.

The cervix will dilate to 10 centimeters when the baby is born. It is slow at the beginning. It takes an average of 8 hours from labor to the cervix dilating 3 centimeters, and an average of 4 hours from the cervix dilating 3 centimeters to 10 centimeters.

Generally speaking, medication for pain will not be used until the cervix is dilated to 3 cm. This indicates that the mother has entered the active phase of labor. The cervix has dilated to 3 cm, the cervix has become soft, thin, and elastic, and the interval between each contraction is 2-3 cm.

After delivery, the cervix will gradually dilate with regular uterine contractions. The first stage of labor is divided into two phases according to the degree of cervical dilation: the latent phase and the active phase.
