Artificial insemination is a relatively common method of assisted reproduction. After artificial insemination, you must pay attention to your physical condition and be aware of some precautions. For example, you cannot do strenuous exercise. After artificial insemination, you must prevent semen from leaking out. You can raise your buttocks and lie flat for 30 minutes. You cannot have sex within two weeks. If conception is successful, you must undergo corresponding examinations. 1. Avoid strenuous exercise After artificial insemination, you can go home directly. You don’t have to lie in bed when you get home, you can do housework as usual. However, be sure to avoid strenuous exercise such as running and jumping on that day. You can take a bath on the same day, but you are not allowed to bathe in a bathtub. 2. Avoid the leakage of semen afterwards Artificial insemination will be completed within 2-3 minutes. If you leave the examination table immediately, the semen that has been injected with great difficulty will flow out of the vagina. After the end, the woman should close her knees tightly, slightly raise her legs, and lie quietly in this state for more than ten minutes (the semen used in artificial insemination is currently washed and concentrated into about 0.3 ml before being injected deep into the uterus. There is little chance of it flowing out, so there is no need to lie down for a long time). The most important thing to note when performing artificial insemination is that the injected semen cannot flow out. 3. After the artificial insemination operation, the patient should lie flat with hips raised for 30 minutes. If any symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, vaginal discomfort, etc. are felt, medical staff should be notified in time for timely treatment. 4. Do not have sexual intercourse or take a bath within 2 weeks after artificial insemination. Patients can carry out normal work and activities, but should avoid strenuous exercise. 5. Patients who use ovulation-inducing drugs should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time if they develop symptoms of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome after artificial insemination, such as abdominal distension, nausea, vomiting, significant weight gain, oliguria, etc. 6. On the 14th day after artificial insemination, the patient can use an early pregnancy test to see if conception is successful, but false negatives or false positives may occur. If you want to know the accurate results, it is recommended to go to the hospital to check the blood HCG level. 7. If conception is successful, you should go to the hospital for prenatal check-ups regularly. In the 6th to 7th week, B-ultrasound examination is performed to check for fetal heartbeat to determine whether it is normal and the number of fetuses. Fetal reduction is required if the pregnancy is 3 or more. You should go to the obstetrics department for a check-up after 3 months of pregnancy. |
