When women reach menopause, they will experience many uncomfortable symptoms and various abnormal conditions in their bodies. Changes in menstruation are very obvious. For example, some people suddenly stop menstruating, or have very little menstrual flow, or a very short menstrual cycle. 1. Symptoms of menstrual disorders during menopause 1. Intermittent amenorrhea, short menstrual period, reduced menstrual flow, and then slowly stopped; 2. Irregular menstrual cycle, prolonged menstruation, increased menstrual flow, and even heavy bleeding, sometimes continuous bleeding, which then gradually decreases until it stops completely; 3. Menstruation suddenly stops and never comes again. Generally speaking, menopausal menstrual irregularities are physiological and normal. However, if menopausal women experience intermittent heavy bleeding, long-term irregular bleeding, or postmenopausal bleeding, they should be vigilant and rule out disease factors. 2. Reasons Female menopause generally refers to the transition stage from fertility to infertility of women, that is, the period before and after menopause, generally determined to be 40 to 60 years old. Generally, menopause can only be confirmed as 12 consecutive months without menstruation. Natural menopause at the age of 40 or later is called physiological menopause, menopause after the age of 55 is called "late menopause", and menopause before the age of 40 is called "early menopause". Early menopause may be pathological menopause. Therefore, as women enter menopause, the function of their ovaries begins to decline. First, the corpus luteum function progressively declines. When the follicles develop to a certain extent, they atrophy on their own and stop ovulating. No corpus luteum is formed, which manifests as a decline in reproductive function. The intervals between menstrual cycles are prolonged, manifesting as intermittent amenorrhea. The normal menstrual period of 20 to 30 days is reduced to 2 to 3 months or even longer. The menstrual flow may be normal or less than before, and the interval between menstruation gradually increases to 4 to 5 months or half a year, and then stops completely. It is precisely because of the body's self-regulatory function that FSH can reach normal levels and ovulatory menstrual cycles occur. Therefore, sometimes women who have been infertile for many years suddenly become pregnant before menopause. As age increases, ovarian function changes from unstable to declining and unbalanced, often manifesting before menopause with irregular menstruation, menstrual cycle disorders, prolonged menstruation, and continuous bleeding, while symptoms such as premenstrual tension syndrome, cyclical breast pain, edema, and headaches disappear. It usually progresses from ovarian dysfunction to cessation of menstruation. 3. Treatment measures Menopause refers to the period before and after menopause in women. It is an important and necessary stage for women, generally between the ages of 40-60. During this stage, the body's estrogen secretion decreases or even becomes deficient due to the gradual decline of ovarian function. About 1/3 of menopausal women can achieve a new balance through neuroendocrine self-regulation without conscious symptoms, while 2/3 of women will experience symptoms such as hot flashes, sweating, palpitations, insomnia, irritability, and irritability, which are called menopausal syndrome. They may also be accompanied or succeeded by palpitations, high blood pressure, vaginal dryness, low libido, frequent urination, loose teeth, back pain, cramps, hunched back, shortened length, significant memory loss, cognitive impairment, and other decline symptoms of the nervous, cardiovascular, skeletal, and urogenital systems. These problems and diseases seriously trouble the physical and mental health of middle-aged and elderly women. Menopausal women should understand that menopause is a natural physiological process and should adapt to this change with a positive attitude. The latest research results of modern medicine show that Yongquan acupoint is a major acupoint for longevity in the human body.
