What are the side effects of purslane?

Purslane has high medicinal value, but when using it, some possible side effects should not be ignored. For example, people who often suffer from diarrhea caused by abdominal cold and pregnant women should not use Purslane.

1. Side effects and consumption of purslane:

Do's and Don'ts: "Do not use if you have a weak spleen and stomach, loose bowels, or diarrhea; do not use it with turtle shell in a decoction."

2. Toxic and side effects:

Purslane can be eaten. In clinical application, the decoction has no obvious toxicity when taken orally. Injection with a large dosage may cause nausea.

When you first eat purslane, you must eat it in small amounts. You can eat more after you gradually get used to it. Only add white sugar, not brown sugar. Because brown sugar is warm in nature, it goes against the direction of treatment.

3. Because purslane is a cold product, three types of people should avoid eating purslane:

The first type: abdominal cold causes diarrhea. If it is general diarrhea caused by cold, do not eat it by mistake.

Second: Pregnant women are prohibited from eating purslane. Purslane is slippery and has the effect of inducing abortion

The third type: If you are taking traditional Chinese medicine and there is turtle shell in the prescription, be aware that purslane and turtle shell are incompatible and should not be taken together.
