Three things to note about fetal hydronephrosis

If the fetus develops hydronephrosis during pregnancy, it is very dangerous. Severe fetal hydronephrosis requires termination of pregnancy. There are many issues that need to be paid attention to in fetal hydronephrosis. On the one hand, the severity of the fetal condition should be checked, and on the other hand, the mother should take good care of her diet.

1. If the width of fetal hydronephrosis is less than 1.63 cm or the thickness of renal parenchyma is greater than 0.58 cm, it can be considered normal; if the width of hydronephrosis is greater than 2.15 cm or the thickness of renal parenchyma is less than 0.2 cm, it is irreversible and the pregnancy can be terminated depending on the situation.

2. This is normal and will disappear as the pregnancy progresses. Like choroid plexus cyst, this is a soft tissue abnormality caused by chromosomal abnormalities and will disappear with the pregnancy.

Eat less spicy and salty foods.

3. Pregnant women do not have much influence on fetal hydronephrosis. The main thing is to fully seek the diagnosis opinions of clinical doctors and have regular follow-up visits. The child should be closely followed up after birth. In addition to regular physical examinations, parents should pay special attention to the color of the child's urine, the thickness of the urine line, and whether the urination is smooth. If the baby often cries when urinating, or always scratches his waist with his hands, he may have back pain. It is best to go to the hospital for necessary examinations and treatments.
