Acute urticaria is a common skin disease in daily life. There are many types of symptoms. The disease is closely related to food, medicine, and the natural environment. Among the sick people, 40% of them are caused by infection and other reasons, 9% of the patients are caused by medicines, only 1% of the patients are caused by food, and half of the patients cannot find the cause. 1. Can acute urticaria be cured? 1. In fact, the human body has a hormone regulation system, so it will slowly adapt to the external environment. Therefore, some people will have skin allergy reactions when they are first touched, but after a long time of contact, they will become less allergic. This is due to the function of the hormone regulation system. In acute urticaria, this function also exists, so patients with acute urticaria can also be cured, but the cure rate is not 100%. Therefore, for patients with subacute onset, there is no need to wait for cure, and they should actively carry out treatment to improve their condition. 2. When suffering from acute urticaria, patients cannot blindly wait for the symptoms to heal, because everyone has different symptoms of acute urticaria. Some patients' condition is mild, and it is only manifested by the appearance of bumps on the skin. Such people will recover after gradually adapting, so there is no need to worry too much. However, some people will have various symptoms after the illness, and even have edema of the throat, which will cause the patient to have difficulty breathing and even threaten the patient's life. For such patients, do not wait for the symptoms to heal, and should take treatment immediately after the onset of the disease. 2. Symptoms of subacute urticaria 1. Erythema and edema appear on the skin, and on this basis, millet-sized papules and papulovesicles appear. After the blisters burst, erosion, exudation, scarring, scaling, etc. appear. Active itching, scratching can cause erosion, pustules, bleeding, lichenification, etc., and it can spread from the primary site to the surrounding area and spread throughout the body, causing erythroderma. 2. The rash is composed of wheals and erythematous patches of varying sizes and shapes. They often appear suddenly in large quantities and then quickly disappear after a few hours, leaving no trace. But the disease may recur. Wheals can combine to form large skin lesions or form a map-like lesion. 3. Active itching may be accompanied by abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, chest tightness, shortness of breath, palpitations, and difficulty breathing. In rare cases, there may be fever, swollen joints, hypotension, shock, laryngeal edema, and ventricular asphyxiation. 4. Acute patients usually present with bright red edema patches, and some subacute skin lesions will have blisters and bullae, which is called bullous urticaria. Purple spots may occur in some areas, which is called purpuric urticaria. The mucous membranes may also be affected, causing swelling of the lips or pharyngeal isthmus, leading to laryngeal edema, resulting in difficulty breathing and even asphyxiation. The lesions usually disappear within a few hours, but they may recur and new lesions may occur continuously. Severe, large-area exudative lesions may also disappear within a few days. |
