Pelvic effusion is a very common phenomenon in women. It is very likely to occur during menstruation or ovulation. Uterine effusion is also called uterine effusion. Uterine effusion is not common in clinical practice. There is a big difference between the two, and the causes are also different. What is the difference between intrauterine effusion and pelvic effusion? Pelvic effusion is divided into physiological and pathological. In physiological pelvic effusion, the pelvis is located in the lowest part of the abdominal cavity. When there is a small amount of exudate or transudate in the pelvic and abdominal organs, the fluid will first accumulate in the pelvic cavity, thus forming pelvic effusion. During menstruation, a small amount of menstrual blood flows back into the pelvic cavity, which can cause pelvic effusion; the accumulation of follicular fluid in the pelvic cavity during ovulation in the middle of the menstrual period can also cause pelvic effusion; for patients with constipation, abnormal intestinal peristalsis can cause a small amount of intestinal fluid to leak out, leading to pelvic effusion. Uterine effusion is also known as intrauterine fluid. Uterine effusion is not common in clinical practice. Uterine effusion in patients of different ages may be caused by different reasons. What causes pelvic effusion? 1. Inflammation: Not paying attention to hygiene during menstruation, using unclean sanitary products, or having sex during menstruation all provide a good breeding environment for bacteria and can easily cause pelvic inflammatory disease. Pelvic inflammatory disease is prone to occur when suffering from appendicitis or peritonitis. When suffering from vaginitis and cervicitis, the inflammation may spread upward and may eventually lead to pelvic inflammatory disease and the formation of fluid accumulation. After childbirth and abortion, immunity is relatively low and the cervix is in a dilated state. If personal hygiene is not taken seriously, bacteria in the vagina and cervix may ascend and cause pelvic infection. Failure to strictly disinfect during surgery, not following the doctor's advice and having sexual intercourse too early after surgery, etc. may all lead to pelvic infection. 2. Ovarian cyst rupture: This mainly refers to ovarian corpus luteum bleeding, ovarian cyst rupture, etc. It is like there is a balloon filled with water in the pelvic cavity. Due to special circumstances, the balloon bursts and the water inside flows into the pelvic cavity. In addition, rupture of ectopic pregnancy can cause a large amount of blood to flow out, resulting in pelvic effusion. 3. Cancerous ascites: Cancerous changes in organs in the abdominal cavity, such as ovarian cancer, liver cancer, gastric cancer, etc., can cause cancerous ascites. What causes uterine fluid accumulation? 1. The most common cause is inflammation of the fallopian tube or pelvic peritoneum. When the fallopian tubes become inflamed due to gonococcal infection, tuberculosis infection, chlamydia infection, mycoplasma infection or other bacterial infection, the epithelial tissue of the fallopian tube endometrium can be destroyed, causing the fallopian tube to be blocked. The inflammation can destroy the fallopian tube mucosa and form scars, causing narrowing or blockage of the tube lumen. Sperm and egg cannot meet in the channel, causing infertility. 2. Endometriosis in the fallopian tubes can cause blockage of the fallopian tubes. 3. Some pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus or Gonorrhea spread to the fallopian tubes or pelvic cavity through the vagina, cervix and uterus, causing pelvic peritonitis and serious systemic infection. 4. Secondary infection caused by miscarriage, delivery, pelvic surgery and appendicitis can also lead to fallopian tube obstruction and infertility. |
