Breast cancer is the most common malignant tumor in women. Its incidence rate ranks first among female malignant tumors in many countries and regions, seriously threatening women's physical and mental health. For a long time, many scholars at home and abroad have spent a lot of time and energy on in-depth research on the causes of breast cancer in order to fundamentally control breast cancer. Through extensive research and practice, it has been found that the occurrence of breast cancer is related to various environmental and social factors, as well as female fertility and other factors. The most obvious of these is oral contraceptives. Generally speaking, if a woman takes contraceptives more than three times, her chances of developing breast cancer will increase several times. A study showed that through a survey of 256 women aged 23-54 who were diagnosed with breast cancer, ten major factors were found to be related to the incidence of breast cancer: (1) family history; (2) marriage and childbearing; (3) reproductive factors; (4) breastfeeding; (5) menstrual disorders; (6) hyperthyroidism; (7) oral contraceptives; (8) lifestyle habits; (9) wearing a tight bra for a long time; and (10) suppressing emotions or impulsive personality. The incidence rate of breast cancer is higher among women whose family members (mother, sister) have breast cancer. A family history of breast cancer, whether from the maternal or paternal line, increases the likelihood of developing breast cancer. Among first-degree relatives, a history of breast cancer was the strongest association. Women whose family members (mothers, sisters) have breast cancer have a breast cancer incidence rate many times higher than that of ordinary women. That is, women with a family history have a significantly increased risk of breast cancer. The incidence of breast cancer is higher among unmarried and childless women or married and childless women. People discovered early on that the incidence of breast cancer among nuns was significantly higher than that among other people. In the United States and other Western countries, the group with the highest incidence of breast cancer is single women. This practice also confirmed that among those diagnosed with breast cancer, a large proportion are unmarried and childless; the proportion of single women and married women without children who suffer from breast cancer is higher. Women's menstrual history is another risk factor for cancer. Early exposure to the hormone environment is an important risk factor for the disease. The longer the body is immersed in estrogen, the greater the risk of cancer in women. The earlier a woman's menarche and the later her menopause, the higher her risk of cancer, especially breast cancer. Among the 256 cases diagnosed with breast cancer, only 92 cases had breastfeeding experience, accounting for 36%. It is believed that breastfeeding can reduce ovarian function; conversely, it will increase the risk of breast cancer. Menstrual disorders reflect endocrine imbalance in women and are also a risk. In breast cancer patients, abnormal hormone levels are also one of the risk factors for breast cancer. The relationship between oral contraceptives and breast cancer is relatively complicated. Among 256 breast cancer patients, 230 had taken this drug, accounting for 90%. Oral contraceptives increase the risk of breast cancer to a certain extent. As the duration of medication increases, the risk gradually increases. At least one thing is certain: hormone replacement therapy stimulates the breasts to a certain extent, giving the glands that have begun to degenerate the opportunity to develop and proliferate again. "Hyperthyroidism" is considered to be an abnormal hormone level and is also a risk factor for breast cancer. Bad living habits are also one of the factors leading to breast cancer. It has been found that eating habits and nutritional status are closely related to the occurrence of tumors, but there are no specific reports on increased incidence of breast cancer. It is generally believed that consuming large amounts of fat may lead to obesity, weight gain, and increased estrogen, which in turn increases the risk of breast cancer. Alcohol is considered a possible factor in inducing breast cancer, and the influence of lifestyle behaviors, habits, and hobbies cannot be ruled out. The blood circulation in the breast is very rich. There is a rich lymphatic network in the breast, which is integrated into clusters and plays a role in lymphatic drainage and detoxification. The veins and lymphatic vessels of the breast run closely together and play a role in "waste discharge". Wearing a tight corset for a long time (especially a hard bra) is very detrimental to the blood supply and oxygen supply to the breasts, and at the same time, the detoxification and waste discharge are hindered. In layman's terms, it will inevitably cause good cells to become bad and bad cells to become cancerous. Especially for working women, wearing bras for almost ten hours before going to work in the morning until getting home at night is very harmful. It is an indisputable fact that mental factors will directly affect health, and breast cancer is no exception. Among the 256 breast cancer patients found, 243 (95%) had problems with suppressing emotions or having impulsive personality. Severe mental trauma, excessive mental stress, too much mental pressure, major changes in life, etc. will all cause stress to people. Some women often encounter something unpleasant, whether it is outside or inside, whether it is their parents, husbands, or children, and they will fly into a rage, uncontrollable anger, refuse to eat or sleep, and "punish" themselves with their anger. These psychological changes such as tension, excitement, grievance, sadness, anger, self-blame, etc. can reduce the body's immune function, cause endocrine dysfunction, and cause imbalance between hormones. If one's mental health is unhealthy, it will be difficult to maintain mental balance, and toxic substances will be secreted in the body. Due to the decline in immune function, the body's ability to produce T lymphocytes will be reduced, and invading bacteria and viruses cannot be eliminated, which is also one of the causes of breast cancer. Therefore, how to maintain a healthy, sound and fit mind is the biggest challenge for modern women. Based on the above risk factors for breast cancer, the following main control measures can be proposed: (1) Advocate marriage and childbearing at an appropriate age; (2) Change dietary habits, reduce fat intake, increase fiber intake, and quit drinking; (3) Actively treat diseases with abnormal hormone levels such as "hyperthyroidism"; (4) Control the abuse of estrogen; (5) Strengthen monitoring of women taking oral contraceptives; (6) Choose suitable bras, and it is recommended to choose loose cotton ones. It is not advisable to harm health in pursuit of body curves. (7) Women should learn to conserve their own marrow and maintain a balance between body and mind. Breast cancer is so terrible, so how should we prevent it? Fat control and weight loss: Studies have found that cancer cells are initially in a "starting" state, and only when they are "stimulated" can they rapidly proliferate and become diseased. A high-fat diet is a "stimulant" that triggers breast cancer. Long-term and excessive fat intake can cause the body to produce large amounts of estrogen and prostaglandin-like substances. Excessive intake of these substances can stimulate the growth of cancer. Excessive intake of fat can also make the body fat and reduce the immune function, which gives cancer an opportunity to take advantage. Therefore, controlling fat intake, reducing obesity, and improving the body's immune mechanism and disease resistance can effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of breast cancer. Avoid drinking: Drinking is much more harmful to women than men. Women who drink have a higher risk of breast cancer than those who rarely drink. For those who drink 1 or more glasses of alcohol a day, the risk of breast cancer is more than 45% higher than those who rarely drink. This risk is most significant in premenopausal women. It is currently believed that alcohol can stimulate the secretion of prolactin in the anterior pituitary gland, and prolactin is related to the occurrence of breast cancer. Therefore, women, especially those before and after menopause, should abstain from alcohol or drink less. Drink less coffee: Coffee, cocoa, and chocolate, these foods contain a lot of xanthine, which can promote benign breast hyperplasia, which is related to the occurrence of breast cancer. If women, especially premenopausal women, consume too much of this kind of food, the risk of breast cancer will greatly increase due to the large intake of xanthine. Therefore, women, especially those over middle age, should drink less coffee and eat less chocolate. Eat more fruits and vegetables: Studies have found that coarse grains, vegetables, and fruits not only contain a large amount of plant fiber, vitamins, and trace elements that have anti-cancer effects, but also contain a variety of biologically active substances that can prevent and slow down the development of cancer at all stages. Among them, soybeans, corn, edible fungi, seaweed, garlic, tomatoes, citrus fruits, and berries have the most significant effects. Therefore, eating more of these foods in your daily diet is not only good for your health, but also helps prevent breast cancer. |
