Several major disadvantages of using tampons

The so-called harms caused by the use of tampons actually have an extremely low incidence rate. Most people use tampons to experience the convenience they bring to women. During menstruation, when using tampons, you don’t have to sit on a bench like you do when using sanitary napkins, and don’t go out for activities, for fear of leakage due to activities. Tampons are built-in and have excellent absorbency, so you can even swim while using a tampon.

In fact, the function of tampons is the same as that of sanitary napkins or panty liners, they are just placed in a different position. However, tampons can make women's activities during menstruation more convenient. During menstruation, women can still swim, do outdoor sports, take a hot spring bath, go to the gym, etc. For modern women who value the quality of life, tampons are another good choice.

Beauty is important, but will the built-in tampon damage our private parts? Clinically, even though the use of tampons may have a minor, temporary effect on the vagina or cervix, tampons have not been found to cause significant changes in the vagina or cervix. Although the vaginal environment is constantly fluctuating, such as due to menstrual blood discharge, semen entry, and intravaginal contraceptive methods, the ecological environment in the vagina is actually quite stable.

The vagina and cervix are very elastic structures. Apparently, the vagina and cervix open up during birth to allow the baby's head to pass through and then return to its original shape. Vaginal tissue can heal and recover quickly from minor injuries caused by sexual intercourse or childbirth. The most common cause of vaginal lacerations is sexual intercourse, which accounts for approximately 80% of vaginal lacerations. Studies show that most vaginal injuries that occur during sexual intercourse occur in the upper back part of the vagina, which is supported only by a thin layer of connective tissue.

The above introduces some side effects that may be caused by the use of tampons, and also explains that these side effects of tampons are temporary. In fact, tampons are not popular in Asia, and most women still use traditional sanitary napkins. Tampons are already very popular abroad, especially in Europe and the United States. I believe that in the near future, women in Asia will also accept tampons.
