What are the symptoms of small ovarian cysts?

The ovaries play a very important role for women. Some people have their ovaries removed due to illness, and their tempers become bad. This is mainly because some hormones cannot be secreted normally. Women must take good care of their ovaries and keep warm. Many women suffer from small ovarian cysts, but they don’t know the symptoms of this disease in the early stages. Let’s take a look at it now.

Women of childbearing age are the main group of patients with ovarian cysts. According to the current statistics of clinical cases of ovarian cysts in my country, the average rate of malignant transformation is high because the early symptoms of the disease are not obvious and the time of medical treatment is late. Understanding the symptoms of ovarian cysts and receiving effective treatment early is an important way to protect the patient's life and reproductive safety.

1. Lower abdominal discomfort, initial symptoms

The cyst itself has a certain weight. Under the influence of gastrointestinal motility and changes in body position, the cyst moves back and forth in the pelvic cavity, pulling on its pedicle and pelvic ligament, causing the patient to have lower abdominal swelling or a feeling of falling.

2. Increased abdominal circumference and abdominal mass - the most common symptoms

When patients notice that their clothes or belts are too tight, they will then discover that their abdomen has become thicker, or when they press their abdomen lightly with their hands after getting up early, they will find a lump in the abdomen accompanied by a feeling of swelling.

3. Compression symptoms: Larger cysts will exert a certain compression effect on the bladder, disrupting the patient's judgment on whether to urinate, leading to frequent urination or difficulty urinating. A huge ovarian tumor can compress the diaphragm and cause the patient to feel difficulty breathing or even palpitations. Ovarian tumors combined with a large amount of ascites are also prone to this symptom.

4. Irregular menstruation: Generally, ovarian or even bilateral ovarian cysts do not destroy all normal ovarian tissues and can easily cause irregular menstruation.

5. Abdominal pain: If the cyst has no complications, there are rarely any symptoms of pain. If the patient suddenly feels abdominal pain, it is mostly due to twisting of the tumor pedicle or tumor rupture, bleeding or infection. It should be noted that malignant cysts often induce abdominal pain and leg pain, and patients often seek emergency treatment.

In any case, it is best for women to have a physical examination every six months. If conditions limit it, at least once a year. Physical examinations can indeed detect many diseases. Some diseases may not have a significant impact on the body if not treated, but diseases such as ovarian cysts must be treated as early as possible.
