What are the symptoms of cervical polyps?

Women need to pay attention to the health of the cervix. The more private the part, the harder it is to detect the disease. Over time, the disease will worsen, and the consequences are still very serious. Take cervical polyps as an example. Since the disease site is hidden, it cannot be observed with the naked eye in the early stage of the disease. It is necessary to understand other symptoms clearly. So what are the symptoms of cervical polyps?

Cervical polyps are mostly attached to the endocervical canal or the external opening of the cervix. They are generally small, with a diameter of less than 1 cm, and can be single or multiple. There are also larger ones, which can reach several centimeters in diameter and have a pedicle that protrudes outside the cervical os as it grows. If the polyp is small, it will remain in the cervical canal and only appear slightly at the cervical opening.

(1) Cervical polyps are caused by chronic inflammation. Simply removing the polyps will still cause inflammation in the cervical canal, so the polyps may recur.

(2) Some polyps grow deep in the cervical canal. When they are removed, the roots of the polyps are not completely eradicated, so polyps grow from the roots again soon.

(3) Some patients have more than one cervical polyp of different sizes. During surgery, only the larger polyps visible to the naked eye are removed. The smaller polyps that are difficult to see with the naked eye or those hidden deep in the cervical canal are not removed together. Later, these "missed" small polyps gradually grow larger and grow out of the cervical opening, forming new cervical polyps visible to the naked eye. Systematic treatment can be carried out through comprehensive Chinese medicine therapy (three elimination and two supplementation method) to achieve the goal of complete cure.

Cervical polyps are covered with a layer of columnar epithelium and have abundant microvessels, so they are bright red, soft and fragile. The slightest touch causes bleeding, and infection often occurs, forming ulcers. There is another type of polyp that comes from the vaginal part of the cervix. The surface is covered by stratified squamous epithelium. Since the stroma is mainly composed of fibrous connective tissue, it is light red in color, tough in texture, wide in base, and the lesion is superficial.

Through the above introduction, everyone has a clear idea of the symptoms of cervical polyps. It can be said that there are many reasons that lead to the growth of cervical polyps, such as not paying attention to hygiene and cleanliness, allowing the cervix to be infected, etc. In short, it is necessary to improve living habits and actively work hard to carry out treatment.
