What are the causes and prevention methods of prolonged menstrual bleeding?

Menstruation is a normal way for every adult woman to detoxify. The duration and length of each woman's menstrual period are not necessarily the same. Normally, it should be completely clean in a week. However, some women's menstruation may not be very normal, and some women's menstruation may be a little heavy. What is the reason for this? Is there any good way to prevent this?

It is caused by dysfunction of the Chong and Ren meridians due to emotional depression, overwork, improper living and eating habits after childbirth or miscarriage, and excessive sexual intercourse.

1. Sudden hemorrhage causes prolonged hemorrhage, leading to the exhaustion of qi and blood in the internal organs.

2. Deficiency of both Qi and blood. Repeated metrorrhagia causes Qi to disappear with blood, leading to deficiency of both Qi and blood.

3. Deficiency of both spleen and kidney. Spleen deficiency or multiple deliveries may damage the kidneys. At the same time, improper diet may damage the spleen and stomach, leading to deficiency of both spleen and kidney and poor control, which may lead to metrorrhagia.

4. Liver-kidney yin deficiency is caused by constitution yin deficiency or blood loss due to serious illness, deficiency of both essence and blood, and malnutrition of Chong and Ren meridians.

5. Blood heat runs rampant, the body is yang-dominant or the emotions are not smooth, which can turn into fire and damage Chong and Ren.

6. Qi stagnation and blood stasis. Stagnation of qi in the liver and blood stasis over a long period of time will block the uterus, preventing new blood from returning to the meridians and causing the blood that has left the meridians to flow indiscriminately.

Prevention

⑴ Pay attention to your physical health. To increase nutrition, eat more protein-rich foods as well as vegetables and fruits. Strive to strike a balance between work and rest in life, avoid heavy physical labor and strenuous exercise, get enough sleep, be in a good spirit, and do not create unnecessary mental stress. This is very effective in preventing and treating functional metrorrhagia.

⑵ Use drugs to stop bleeding. There are two methods of drug hemostasis: one is to make the endometrium fall off completely, which can be done by injecting progesterone; the other is to make the endometrium grow, which can be done by injecting estradiol benzoate. Using some hemostatic drugs, such as Yunnan Baiyao, Anluoxue, vitamin K, hemostatic aromatic acid and hemostatic sensitive, can generally achieve the purpose of treating functional uterine bleeding.

⑶ Restore ovarian function and regulate menstrual cycle. Generally, drugs such as diethylstilbestrol are taken continuously, 0.5-1 gram per day, for 20 consecutive days. On the last 5 days of medication, 20 mg of progesterone is injected per day. Generally, functional uterine bleeding in adolescence can be cured quickly with age increase and proper treatment. For ovulatory functional uterine bleeding, injection of human chorionic gonadotropin before ovulation may regulate the menstrual cycle.

The above introduces the reasons why menstruation is a bit continuous, as well as some methods to prevent this bad phenomenon. In daily life, you need to pay attention to some changes in your body and make timely adjustments to avoid more serious conditions in your body, especially when there is continuous bleeding during menstruation. You must check and treat it in time.
