Is urinary tract infection a gynecological disease?

Is urinary tract infection a gynecological disease?

Urinary tract infection is mostly caused by bacteria infecting the urethral opening. Therefore, both men and women can suffer from this disease, but it is more common in women. After suffering from this disease, many women worry that they have a gynecological disease. So, is urinary tract infection a gynecological disease?

Urinary tract infection is an infection of the urinary system, not a gynecological disease. Clinical symptoms of urinary tract infection are relatively common. Urinary tract infection can be divided into pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urethritis according to the location of infection; it can be divided into multiplex and non-multixel urinary tract infection according to whether there are abnormalities in urethral function or organ; it can be divided into subacute and chronic urinary tract infection according to the characteristics of inflammation.

But urinary tract infection still has its mutual clinical symptoms:

1. Urinary tract irritation symptoms, namely symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, inability to hold urine, painful urination, and discomfort during urination. For this disease, different patients show different levels of mild and severe symptoms. Patients with acute symptomatic inflammation usually have significant urinary tract irritation symptoms; however, in the elderly, children and patients with chronic urinary tract infection, urinary tract irritation symptoms are generally milder, such as mild urinary frequency and urgency, or inability to hold urine, or discomfort during urination.

2. Systemic symptoms of food poisoning, such as fever, chills, headache, etc. It is mainly common in patients with upper urinary tract infection, especially in patients with subacute urinary tract infection and associated urinary tract obstruction.

3. Urine examination may show white blood cell count, blood cells or even protein.

4. Routine blood examination may show elevated white blood cell count.

Gynecological diseases, also known as gynecological diseases, are the general name for common diseases of the female urinary system. The main gynecological diseases include private part diseases, symptoms of vaginitis, uterine diseases, fallopian tube diseases, ovarian diseases, etc. Gynecological diseases are common and frequently occurring diseases in women. However, because many people lack the necessary understanding of gynecological diseases, lack of health care for the body, and various unhealthy lifestyles, their health is gradually declining, causing some women to be burdened with gynecological diseases and cannot be cured, causing great trouble to their normal daily life and work.

Generally speaking, urinary tract infection is a symptom of urinary system infection, not a gynecological disease. If you suffer from urinary tract infection and do not actively treat it, it will cause gynecological inflammation, so it is very important to actively treat it.
