The vulva is a very important private tissue for women and one of the most important parts of the reproductive organs. Women attach great importance to the health of the vulva, which has a great influence on family happiness and harmony. Therefore, the health of the private parts is what women need to pay most attention to. The health of women's private parts is often seriously damaged due to infections of gynecological diseases, such as the phenomenon of vulvar leukoplakia. So, what should we do about vulvar leukoplakia? Vulvar leukoplakia refers to keratinized white patches or plates on the vulvar mucosa that are not easy to wipe off. Currently, the benign keratotic lesions of the vulva are generally referred to as white keratosis or simple leukoplakia, and the anaplastic lesions of the vulva are generally referred to as vulvar leukoplakia or precancerous leukoplakia. The canceration rate of this disease is not high, 4% to 6% may become cancerous, and the vast majority are benign non-precancerous lesions. The diagnosis is mainly based on histopathological examination and clinical manifestations. It is easier to diagnose because it is mainly caused by proliferative changes in the mucosal epithelium or epidermis. However, the diagnosis of mucosal leukoplakia often tends to be exaggerated, and attention should be paid to disease differentiation. 1. Actively treat concomitant diseases Control blood sugar, correct endocrine disorders and malnutrition, supplement vitamins, etc. 2. Local treatment Keep the vulva clean and dry, and avoid excessive scrubbing with soap. The local area can be washed externally with Chinese medicine that clears heat, detoxifies and dries dampness. When itching is obvious, topical corticosteroids such as hydrocortisone ointment and hydrocortisone butyrate cream can be applied topically. When the itching is particularly severe, you can apply halometasone cream or ointment and clobetasol (Temeifu) cream or ointment externally, which are effective. Keratotic hyperplastic lesions can be treated topically with 0.025% to 0.05% retinoic acid ointment or 2.5% fluorouracil ointment. It can block the conversion of uracil deoxynucleoside to thymidine deoxynucleoside, inhibit DNA synthesis, and prevent the proliferation, division and differentiation of tumor cells. Therefore, fluorouracil ointment is applied topically to treat precancerous lesions of the skin and malignant lesions of the skin. From the above explanation, it can be seen that the disease phenomenon of vulvar leukoplakia has a relatively large impact on women's bodies. Therefore, women should strengthen the protection of their genital health in their lives. If necessary, they can go to the hospital regularly for genital health checks to ensure the health of their genitals. |
