Diseases that women may suffer from night sweats

People who often suffer from night sweats are definitely not in very good health. Frequent night sweats can easily cause diseases such as tuberculosis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism and even tumors. Night sweats affect our sleep quality and also our physical quality. However, the degree of night sweats is divided into three conditions: mild, moderate and severe. Patients still need to take the right medicine according to their own situation and remember not to treat the disease randomly.

1. Tuberculosis

Night sweats are one of the symptoms of tuberculosis poisoning. It is the result of the toxins of tuberculosis bacteria and their metabolites stimulating the central nervous system, leading to dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system.

2. Diabetes

The main reason for excessive sweating in diabetic patients is autonomic nervous system dysfunction and sympathetic nerve excitement, which leads to increased secretion of sweat glands; secondly, increased blood sugar metabolism rate is also one of the reasons for excessive sweating in diabetic patients.

3. Hyperthyroidism

Due to hyperthyroidism, excessive thyroid hormone is secreted and the metabolic rate increases, which manifests as increased nerve excitability. Overexcitement of the sympathetic nerves can cause heat intolerance, excessive sweating, and night sweats.

Tumors

Night sweats are also a common symptom in cancer patients.

5. Other diseases

In addition, diseases such as hypertension, menopausal syndrome, hypoglycemia, systemic lupus erythematosus, endocarditis, as well as physical weakness, mental tension, and psychological pressure after surgery may cause night sweats. However, most night sweats are caused by autonomic nervous system dysfunction, and its pathogenesis is mainly due to abnormal excitement of the sympathetic nerves. Night sweats during menopause are a common phenomenon. From a Western medical perspective, it is due to the onset of menopause, which causes endocrine and autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

6. Night sweats of varying degrees

1. Mild night sweats

Most patients with mild night sweats sweat easily when they are deep in sleep, at around 5 a.m., or 1 to 2 hours before waking up. The amount of sweat is small, and they only feel a little sweat all over the body or certain parts of the body after waking up, and no sweat will be secreted again after waking up. It is usually not accompanied by any discomfort.

2. Moderate night sweats

Most patients with moderate night sweats will sweat soon after falling asleep, and their sleeping clothes may even be soaked through. The sweat will stop after they wake up, and they will not sweat again after wiping the sweat off their bodies. This type of night sweats causes the patient to feel hot and sweat, and sometimes to feel dry mouth and throat after waking up.

3. Severe night sweats

Patients with severe night sweats sweat easily. Shortly after falling asleep or just closing your eyes and about to fall asleep, you will sweat a lot. You will wake up after sweating, and the sweat will stop instantly after waking up. Falling back to sleep may cause sweating again.

People with mild night sweats will only feel uncomfortable, moderate patients will have dry mouth and tongue, and severe patients will be in a state of night sweats all the time, which can easily cause high blood pressure, hyperthyroidism and other diseases. Patients should pay special attention to this. Women's night sweats can be serious or minor, and patients still have to solve their own problems according to their own circumstances.
