What causes itching, redness and swelling at the vaginal opening?

Vaginal itching and redness and swelling bother many women. Most vaginal redness, swelling and itching occur in the perineum, but symptoms of vaginal itching may also occur in the clitoris, labia minora and other parts. What causes redness, swelling, pain and itching of the female vulva?

1. Special infections. Fungal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common. Both scabies and scabies can cause itching. The itching around the anus and vulva caused by typhus in young girls usually occurs at night. This kind of disease usually causes redness, swelling, itching and pain of the vulva. The symptoms are very obvious. It can be seen that the entire area around the young girl's anus is red and swollen.

2. White lesions of the vulva. Also known as chronic vulvar dystrophy, it is the main symptom, accompanied by pale vulvar skin. Menopause can cause vulvar pain and itching due to poor ovarian function.

3. Allergies to some drugs and irritation from chemicals. Soap, Chlorhexidine, contraceptives, perineal pads, nylon pants and other synthetic fabrics can cause contact dermatitis and itching.

4. Some women have irritating vaginal discharge that causes pain and itching in the vulva. Such as senile vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, liquid irritation, diabetes, cystitis, aminuria of pyelonephritis, urinary incontinence, diabetes, etc.

5. Skin diseases of the vulva, lichen planus, chronic eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, abrasions, paranasal rashes, tumors, etc. Especially in spring, some bacterial microorganisms grow rapidly. Some women suffer from athlete's foot. Not paying attention to personal hygiene. Cross-infection causes vulvar infection to some tinea pedis. This leads to redness, swelling, itching and pain on the vulva.

In fact, as long as good hygiene is maintained, all kinds of genital diseases will stay away from women. Keeping the genitals clean after becoming ill is also very helpful for the recovery of the disease. Therefore, the editor recommends that women with vaginal itching, redness and swelling should wash it with warm water every day, and avoid scratching to prevent the itching from becoming more severe.
