Causes of vulvar itching and pimples

Some women experience an abnormally large amount of vaginal discharge before and after their period, and this is accompanied by an itchy sensation in the vulva, and small blister-like bumps can be felt when touched. Some people say that this is a manifestation of gynecological disease. In fact, there are many diseases that can cause this symptom. Here are some typical diseases. Don’t take medicine indiscriminately because of your own judgment, otherwise it will be ineffective.

1. Pseudo-warmth warts on the vulva

There are other possibilities for small bumps on the vulva: one is caused by human papillomavirus infection, called genital warts; the other is caused by general vaginal inflammation due to excessive leucorrhea and irritation, called pseudo-warts. Pseudocondyloma is a very common vulvar manifestation, which manifests as velvety or villous protrusions on the inner side of the labia minora. They may be pink or slightly transparent, roe-like, and of relatively uniform size, with no subjective symptoms.

2. Bowenoid papulosis

Occurs in young and middle-aged women who are sexually active.

3. Sebaceous gland ectopic disease

It occurs in young people, and those under 30 years old account for 75% of the total number of cases.

4. Vulvar inflammation

Another possible reason for small bumps on the vulva is vulvitis: this is caused by a large amount of leucorrhea irritating the skin in the labia area. In daily life, the vulva is easily contaminated with urine, feces, and leucorrhea, so that the vulva skin is often in a humid environment, which is suitable for bacterial growth. At this time, if the vulvar skin is abraded, or if hygiene is not paid attention to, or the body's resistance is reduced, the hair follicles and surrounding tissues will be infected by staphylococci and other bacteria, which will cause local vulvitis.

Now you have a better understanding of this phenomenon. It is not only vaginal inflammation that can cause small bumps, skin diseases may also cause them. If such symptoms occur, you still need to go to the hospital to test the secretions for a confirmed diagnosis.
