What are the symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis?

Some time ago, I learned that many female friends around me don’t know much about Trichomonas vaginitis, so every time these issues are mentioned, they are quite confused. Because vaginitis is a relatively private disease for women, but if you don’t understand it, you can’t regulate your body early, so you must at least have a certain amount of knowledge.

Increased leucorrhea and vulvar itching The main symptoms of Trichomonas vaginitis are increased thin, foamy leucorrhea and vulvar itching. If there is a mixed infection with other bacteria, the discharge will be purulent and may have a foul odor. The itching areas are mainly the vaginal opening and vulva, and there may occasionally be burning, pain, and dyspareunia.

If the urethra is infected, frequent urination and painful urination may occur, and sometimes hematuria may be seen. During the examination, the vaginal mucosa can be seen to be congested. In severe cases, there are scattered bleeding spots. There is a large amount of leucorrhea in the posterior fornix, which is grayish yellow, yellow-white thin liquid or yellow-green purulent secretion, often in a foamy state.

There may be no abnormalities found in the vaginal mucosa of carriers. A small number of patients have Trichomonas in the vagina without any inflammatory response, and they are called carriers. Some people believe that Trichomonas cannot cause inflammation when it exists alone, because it consumes glycogen in the vaginal epithelial cells, changes the vaginal acidity and alkalinity, destroys the defense mechanism, and promotes secondary bacterial infection. Therefore, it often causes inflammation when the vaginal pH changes before and after menstruation, during pregnancy or after childbirth.

Treatment drugs:

Take metronidazole 200 mg orally, 3 times a day for 7 to 10 days. The side effects are minor. In some cases, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, rash and granulocytopenia may occur after taking the drug. These side effects disappear after stopping the medication.

Locally, 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution can be used to scrub the vulva and irrigate the vagina; then, carbachol, diavitin, or trichostatin can be inserted into the vagina. A course of treatment is 7 to 10 days.

Through the above explanation, you should know some knowledge about Trichomonas vaginitis. This knowledge can be said to be common sense. Every female friend should have a certain understanding of it, because this will enable you to react early when you encounter problems and regulate your body. This is caring for your body.
