What causes vaginal itching and pain?

Nowadays, there are many types of underwear. Some women may suspect that it is because of the underwear they wear that they often feel itching in the vagina. Sometimes, they also have symptoms of painful urination when urinating. Nowadays, women think that gynecological inflammation is more common and will not pay more attention to it. Especially adolescent girls do not care about gynecological diseases, so what is the cause? Mainly you can pay attention to the following reasons.

1. External stimulation: such as not paying attention to the hygiene of the vulva, stimulation from vaginal secretions, vulvar secretions, sweat, moisture, immersion, chemical fiber underwear, unqualified menstrual belts, rough toilet paper, allergies caused by vulvar and vaginal medication, and frequent washing of the vulva with soap can all lead to vulvar itching.

2. Caused by infectious diseases: such as candidal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, infection with pubic lice, scabies, pinworms, etc. In addition to vulvar itching, candidal vaginitis will also cause tofu-like leucorrhea with an odor. In case of Trichomonas vaginitis, in addition to vulvar itching, there will be foamy leucorrhea with a special odor.

3. Skin diseases of the vulva: The skin lesions of tinea cruris often extend to the vulva, causing severe local itching. The local itching caused by vulvar eczema and neurodermatitis is more severe. The former is manifested as papules and blisters with unclear local skin boundaries and erosion exudate, while the latter often causes thickening of the skin with lichenification due to scratching. In addition to causing local itching, leukoplakia of the vulva is often accompanied by vulvar malnutrition and skin atrophy.

4. Systemic diseases: Systemic diseases mainly include diabetes, anemia, leukemia, polycythemia, skin diseases, hepatobiliary diseases (such as jaundice), kidney diseases, lymphoma, etc. In addition to general itching, vulvar itching is often accompanied.

5. Viral infection: such as genital warts, which cause vulvar itching and foul-smelling leucorrhea. Molluscum contagiosum can also cause vulvar itching, and round papules with a central umbilical depression can be seen on the vulva.

Vaginitis, cervicitis, cervical erosion and other gynecological diseases will cause complications of vaginal itching under normal circumstances. The main reason is bacterial infection, so the possibility of inflammation is relatively high. You should pay special attention to the hygiene of the lower body, because the lower body is easy for bacteria to breed and it is a humid place. Therefore, try to choose some cotton cloth that is easy to absorb sweat for underwear. I believe that it will be relieved in the future.
