What is the cause of increased vaginal discharge in women?

We all know that whether a woman's body is healthy can be reflected from her leucorrhea. Many people don't believe it, but some diseases can be detected from her leucorrhea. This is because normal leucorrhea is colorless and transparent. The amount of leucorrhea is relatively small except during ovulation, and there is no odor. If women often put too much pressure on themselves, it will cause bad conditions to their bodies, which will lead to some diseases that are very difficult to treat.

Leucorrhea is a sticky white liquid secreted from the vagina of mature women. Its main components include endometrium, glandular secretions and vaginal epithelial cells. The production of leucorrhea in women is closely related to the level of estrogen production in the female body. Generally, girls who have not yet fully developed and before puberty do not have leucorrhea. In other words, leucorrhea is unique to mature women. Leucorrhea will only be produced when women have passed puberty, the function of their ovaries has gradually matured, and there is normal production of estrogen in their bodies. Women's leucorrhea contains lactobacilli and antibodies, which can effectively inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Generally speaking, increased vaginal discharge in women is often more obvious in the following aspects. For example, during sexual intercourse, women's vaginal discharge will increase, which is a normal physiological reaction of women. Increased vaginal discharge during sexual intercourse will effectively lubricate the vagina, which is conducive to the smooth sexual life of the couple; before the ovulation period of a woman, the level of estrogen in the female body increases, which will cause the increase of cervical mucus secretion, accompanied by a significant increase in vaginal discharge; after giving birth, women often experience increased vaginal discharge due to a series of physiological changes. Under normal circumstances, the amount of vaginal discharge depends on the level of estrogen in a woman's body. Women do not need to worry too much about the normal secretion and increase in the amount of leucorrhea. These are often manifestations of women's healthy physiology and there is no need to go to the hospital for examination and treatment.

If a woman has more vaginal discharge, a noticeable odor, or a change in color, it means that she has some disease in her body. For example, if a woman has a lot of leucorrhea that is clear water-like, then this may be caused by vaginitis or cervical erosion.
