What are the harms of using mobile phones to pregnant women and what should pregnant women pay attention to

Walking on the street, I find that there are more and more people who are addicted to their phones. They have become an indispensable part of our lives. We all know that mobile phones emit radiation, so for people with weak constitutions, what harm will frequent use of mobile phones bring? Especially pregnant women, who are responsible for the health of two people. Today, I will explain what pregnant women should pay attention to when using mobile phones. How should they use mobile phones?

Things to note when using mobile phones:

1. When using a mobile phone, try to keep it away from your body. Use hands-free mode, headphones or Bluetooth headsets as much as possible (the electromagnetic radiation of Bluetooth headsets is only 1/100 of that of mobile phones).

2. Avoid carrying your phone with you all the time. Don't keep your phone next to you at night (including under your pillow or on your bedside table). Pregnant women should pay special attention to this. At night, you can turn off your phone or put it in airplane mode.

3. Do not use your mobile phone continuously for a long time, because the physiological impact of electromagnetic waves is directly related to the length of radiation time. If you need to talk for a long time, try to use a landline. Cordless phones and mobile phones use similar electromagnetic transmission technology, so try to avoid using them for long periods of time.

4. If you must carry a mobile phone with you, make sure the keyboard is facing your body and the back of the phone is facing outwards. This way, the electromagnetic waves from the phone will be transmitted outwards instead of through the body.

Having said the precautions, let's talk about the harm of mobile phones to pregnant women.

The antenna of a mobile phone can receive and emit powerful microwaves, and 60% of the energy generated can be absorbed by human brain tissue. The brain, eyes, and reproductive system are the most sensitive parts of the human body to microwave radiation. Other effects on human health are mainly long-term and slow.

There is evidence that the serious electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones can cause teratogenic effects on the fetus. Mobile phones can also cause endocrine disorders and affect lactation.

Pregnant women should be especially careful when using mobile phones during the first three months of pregnancy.

If the embryo is exposed to electromagnetic radiation during the formation period, it may cause miscarriage;

If it is during the period of organogenesis, the developing organs may be deformed;

If the fetus is exposed to radiation during the developmental period when the central nervous system is damaged, it may cause intellectual disability in the baby.

Therefore, experts believe that the risk of being affected by radiation in the first three months of pregnancy, that is, the early stages of pregnancy, is much greater than the risks in the second and third stages of pregnancy. Therefore, for the healthy development of the baby and to avoid any harm to it, the time of using mobile phones should be reduced in the early pregnancy.

Although mobile phones are becoming more and more important in our lives, I still believe that they are not inseparable from us. Therefore, for the future health of their babies, expectant mothers should try to use mobile phones as little as possible. At night, remember to turn off your mobile phone or place it far away from the bed to prevent the phone's electromagnetic waves from radiating to the fetus. Especially in the early stages of pregnancy, expectant mothers may not have adapted yet and are still not used to not using their mobile phones. They must remind themselves to reduce the amount of mobile phone use every day!
