1. Fungal vaginitis: Fungal vaginitis is also called vaginal candidiasis. The prominent symptoms are increased leucorrhea and extreme itching of the vulva and vagina. The leucorrhea is white, thick and resembling dregs of soybean dregs. The vaginal membrane is highly edematous, with white flaky films adhering and easily peeling off. Underneath is an eroded base of the damaged mucosa or shallow ulcers. In severe cases, ecchymosis may remain, which are typical symptoms of this disease. Another type of patient has a large amount of watery or purulent leucorrhea without white flakes, and the vaginal mucosa is moderately red and edematous, without severe itching or burning sensation, and only a feeling of moisture in the vulva.

2. Nonspecific vaginitis: There is a feeling of falling and burning in the vulva and vagina, a large amount of vaginal epithelium falls off, the vaginal mucosa is congested, and there is obvious tenderness. In severe cases, general fatigue and lower abdominal discomfort may occur, and the amount of leucorrhea may be large and purulent or serous. The outflow of leucorrhea may irritate the urethra, causing frequent urination and painful urination.

Abnormal leucorrhea is often just one symptom of a disease, or is accompanied by other symptoms such as vaginal itching, lower back and abdominal pain, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, etc. The cause and clinical symptoms of each patient are different, and the type of disease cannot be judged based on just one symptom. Many patients, when experiencing symptoms of leucorrhea, always blindly use lotion to rinse or delay treatment. The condition recurs repeatedly, and when they finally go to the hospital for treatment, the condition has worsened. This not only delays the best time for treatment, but also adds difficulty to the treatment, and the treatment time will be prolonged accordingly.

1. Inflammatory leucorrhea

Inflammatory leucorrhea, due to inflammation, will contain a large number of white blood cells. Most inflammatory leucorrhea is purulent, but because of the different infecting bacteria, the characteristics of leucorrhea also have some other obvious differences. When the leucorrhea is thin, pus-like, and contains foam, is yellow-green in color, and has a distinct fishy odor, this is mostly a Trichomonas infection; if the leucorrhea is abundant and thick, like white tofu dregs, or sometimes curd-like, this is mostly a fungal infection; if a woman suffers from chronic cervicitis or cervical erosion, the leucorrhea is generally mucopurulent; if there is purulent mucus in the cervix, and it is yellow and sticky, this is mostly a gonococcal infection, but further examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis.

2. Non-inflammatory leucorrhea

Non-inflammatory leucorrhea is more common in women with retroverted uterus, pelvic tumors, anemia, and weak constitution. In this case, the amount of leucorrhea secretion is large and egg white-like, often white watery secretions flow out of the vagina, and the wet underwear makes people feel uncomfortable.

3. Other causes

Foreign body stimulation and malignant tumors can cause abnormal vaginal discharge in women. Regardless of the situation, women need to pay special attention. Abnormal leucorrhea refers to changes in the properties of leucorrhea. There are many reasons for this change. In order to prevent the disease from further worsening or even affecting fertility, when women find abnormal leucorrhea, they must go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible.
