How many days after sex will you get pregnant?

Nowadays, many young people are unwilling to get married, and many of them have joined the DINK group. But there are still many women who want marriage and children. So a man and a woman embark on the road of marriage. After marriage, if conditions permit, they will want to have children. If they do not take any contraceptive measures and have not gotten pregnant after a long time, they will go for a check-up. So how long will it take to get pregnant after having sex?

How many days after sex can you get pregnant?

After ejaculation during sexual intercourse, sperm is released into the vagina and moves up the female reproductive tract to the fallopian tubes. Once sperm enters the female reproductive tract, they undergo maturation changes and survive for about 2 days.

The egg enters the fallopian tube about 8 to 10 minutes after being released from the ovary. During the movement, groups of sperm pass through the contraction of the uterus and fallopian tube muscles. A large number of sperm lose their vitality and die. Finally, only about 20 to 200 sperm reach the vicinity of the egg cell. In the end, only one sperm can combine with one egg. The fertilization process takes about 24 hours.

The contact and fusion of the male and female pronuclei to form a new cell and restore 46 chromosomes (23 from the paternal and maternal lines) is called fertilization.

After the fertilized egg is formed, it is transferred from the fallopian tube to the uterus for embryonic development.

The fertilized egg, also known as the zygote, has to go through a 3-4 day "honeymoon" journey after fertilization before it can reach the uterus from the fallopian tube. At this time, under the action of hormones and progesterone, the endometrium is carefully arranged, like a warm and comfortable palace. After cleavage, the fertilized egg forms a human blastocyst, which can secrete a proteolytic enzyme that erodes the endometrium and allows the fertilized egg to implant into it. This is medically called "implantation", and pregnancy begins.

It can be seen from this that if both parties are capable of pregnancy, pregnancy will occur about 4 days after having sex (successful intercourse).

How many days after intercourse will it take to get pregnant? We know that conception can occur 4 days after intercourse, but this must happen when both parties have all the conditions for pregnancy. Therefore, couples who do not take any measures after marriage and fail to get pregnant should not feel disappointed, nervous, or suspect that they are infertile. These are all unnecessary. Once your body reaches the standard, you will get pregnant.
