What are the symptoms of ovarian mucinous cysts?

Ovarian mucinous cyst is a relatively common gynecological disease. Its incidence rate is now higher than before. It is also a type of ovarian cyst. It greatly affects the physical and mental health of female friends and brings great inconvenience to our life and work. So what exactly causes ovarian mucinous cysts and what are the symptoms? Let's take a look together.

As for the causes of ovarian mucinous cysts, long-term dietary structure, bad living habits, excessive psychological pressure and other factors cause excessive acidification of the body, a decline in the overall function of the human body, and kidney deficiency. The liver and kidney are of the same origin, and the pathological deficiency of the kidney and ovarian cysts is also caused by liver deficiency, which in turn causes the metabolic cycle in the lower part of the body to slow down, causing ovarian diseases and endocrine disorders, and a decline in immune function, which develops into abnormal proliferation of ovarian tissue, eventually leading to ovarian cysts and even cancer.

1. Increased abdominal circumference and abdominal mass. It is the most common phenomenon in the main complaint. The patient finds that his clothes or belt seem tight and small, and then notices that his abdomen is enlarged, or he feels it accidentally in the morning, so he presses his abdomen and finds that there is a tumor in the abdomen, plus abdominal distension and discomfort.

2. Discomfort in the lower abdomen. It is the initial symptom before the patient feels a lower abdominal mass. Due to the weight of the tumor itself and the influence of intestinal peristalsis and changes in body position, the tumor moves in the pelvic cavity, involving its pedicle and pelvic infundibulum ligament, causing the patient to have a feeling of distension and heaviness in the lower abdomen or iliac fossa.

3. Abdominal pain. If the tumor has no complications, there is very little pain. Therefore, if patients with ovarian tumors feel abdominal pain, especially if it occurs suddenly, it is mostly caused by twisting of the tumor pedicle or occasionally by tumor rupture, bleeding or infection. In addition, malignant cysts often cause abdominal pain and leg pain. Pain often causes patients to seek emergency treatment.

4. Compression symptoms. Huge ovarian tumors can cause dyspnea and palpitations due to compression of the diaphragm. Ovarian tumors combined with large amounts of ascites can also cause this symptom; but some ovarian tumor patients' dyspnea is caused by unilateral or bilateral pleural effusion; and ascites is often combined to form the so-called Meigs syndrome.

5. Menstrual disorders. Generally, ovarian or even bilateral ovarian cysts do not cause menstrual disorders because they do not destroy all normal ovarian tissues. Some uterine bleeding is not endocrine or is caused by ovarian tumors that change the pelvic blood vessel distribution and cause endometrial congestion; or it is caused by ovarian malignant tumors directly metastasizing to the endometrium. Menstrual disorders caused by endocrine tumors are often combined with other secretory influences.

From the above, we can see that suffering from ovarian mucinous cysts has a lot to do with our bad living habits, so if we have time, we can exercise more to strengthen our body. At the same time, we must ensure adequate nutrition, don’t always skip meals, and develop good living habits. If you experience the above symptoms, you must go to the hospital for examination in time to determine the cause and receive early treatment so that you can recover soon.
