How to treat mycoplasma pelvic inflammatory disease?

Some patients suffer from Mycoplasma pelvic inflammatory disease, which will seriously threaten the safety and health of patients. Therefore, once patients have this problem, they need to pay attention to take appropriate methods for treatment in time to avoid dangerous situations. So how should Mycoplasma pelvic inflammatory disease be treated? Let me introduce this issue to you below.

Antibiotics are the main treatment for infection, and surgical treatment is performed when necessary. Broad-spectrum antibiotics are selected empirically to cover possible pathogens, including Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Mycoplasma, anaerobic bacteria, and aerobic bacteria.

(1) All treatment regimens must be effective against Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis, because negative endometrial and cervical screening findings do not exclude upper genital tract infection.

(2) The antimicrobial spectrum of the currently recommended treatment regimen should cover anaerobic bacteria.

(3) Start treatment immediately, because timely and appropriate use of antibiotics is directly related to long-term prognosis.

(4) When choosing a treatment plan, factors such as effectiveness, cost, patient compliance, and drug sensitivity should be considered comprehensively.

(5) Method of administration: Intravenous and non-intravenous administration and the need for hospitalization are determined by the physician's discretion.

(6) Traditional Chinese medicine treatment can also have a certain effect on PID.

Mycoplasma is a pathogenic microorganism between bacteria and viruses. Mycoplasma is a large family with more than 70 species, most of which are pathogenic to humans. But there are only two categories and 14 types that are harmful to humans. Two types are mycoplasmas and ureaplasmas. Common pathogens include Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis and Ureaplasma urealyticum. Mycoplasma infects humans when the body's immunity is low. The infection mainly causes respiratory and urogenital tract diseases. Mycoplasma pneumoniae is mainly transmitted through "droplets". It passes through the ciliary layer of the respiratory mucosa, combines with the mucosal epithelial cells, and then invades the bronchi, lymph nodes, and alveolar walls to cause interstitial pneumonia and acute bronchitis. Therefore, children and adolescents are extremely susceptible to infection due to their underdeveloped immune function. Mycoplasma genitalium, Ureaplasma urealyticum and Mycoplasma hominis mainly infect the human urogenital tract and can cause a variety of diseases. It is mainly transmitted through sexual contact. When the immune system is low, the infection may cause non-gonococcal urethritis, cervicitis, and vaginitis. If pregnant women are infected, they may suffer from puerperal fever, spontaneous abortion, stillbirth and premature birth. If the baby is infected through the birth canal, it may develop neonatal meningitis or "wet lung". In immunocompromised individuals, mycoplasma infection is a major cause of septic arthritis and synovitis.

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the patient has the above problems, the patient should pay attention to take appropriate methods for treatment in time. This will ensure that the patient's condition will not worsen and avoid putting the patient in danger. Finally, I wish the patient a speedy recovery.
