Cereals

You should mainly choose moderately processed rice, noodles, whole grains and dry beans, try to eat less refined rice and noodles, eat more whole wheat flakes, millet, cornmeal, and a combination of coarse and fine grains. This will help you absorb more vitamins and trace elements and prevent nutritional deficiencies.

Vegetable Food

It is the main supplementary food in the diet of pregnant women, among which more green leafy vegetables and fresh beans rich in protein should be chosen. Foods high in zinc include: cabbage, radish, lentils, and eggplant. Foods high in iron include: spinach, carrots, celery, and cucumbers. Foods high in calcium include rapeseed, celery, soybeans and their products. Foods rich in iodine include celery, cabbage, spinach, etc. Foods rich in folic acid include lettuce leaves, spinach, leeks, water spinach, rapeseed, onions, and potatoes. You can also eat more mushrooms, fungus, day lily, kelp, lotus root, etc.

Bean Foods

It is the main source of plant protein, especially soy protein, which is rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid for fetal growth, and also contains more calcium, iron and B vitamins. There are many kinds of soy products, all of which are edible. Bean sprouts are rich in vitamin C, which can increase the toughness and elasticity of blood vessel walls and prevent postpartum hemorrhage. They are also rich in cellulose, which can moisturize the intestines and prevent constipation.
