What is the reason for yellow watery vaginal discharge?

Leucorrhea is not unfamiliar to every one of our female friends, but many women have little real understanding of it. In fact, leucorrhea also reflects women's physical health level to a certain extent. When the color and smell of leucorrhea are abnormal, it means that there is something abnormal in the body. So what is the reason for yellow watery leucorrhea?

In healthy women, the increase in vaginal discharge is directly proportional to the increase in estrogen levels in the body. For example, increased vaginal discharge may occur during ovulation or pregnancy, when the endometrium grows too long, or after the use of estrogen drugs. Yellow watery leucorrhea often occurs after continuous vaginal bleeding, and a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling leucorrhea flows out of the vagina. Advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or submucosal fibroids with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer.

Normal leucorrhea should be milky white or colorless and transparent, with a slightly fishy smell or no smell; its secretion amount and texture are affected by the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body, and vary periodically with the menstrual cycle, with varying amounts, textures and thicknesses. Generally, the amount of leucorrhea is less after the menstrual period; before ovulation, due to the increase in estrogen levels in the body, the epithelial cells of the cervical glands proliferate, the secretion of cervical mucus increases, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus increases, which can absorb more water, causing the leucorrhea to increase during ovulation, become thinner, clear in color, and look like egg white, and can be stretched into long threads. After ovulation, estrogen levels gradually decrease, progesterone levels increase, the secretion of cervical mucus is inhibited, and the sodium chloride content in the mucus also decreases, causing the leucorrhea to be thick at this time.

After the above introduction, I believe that the majority of women have a corresponding understanding of leucorrhea, as well as the changes in the body corresponding to leucorrhea under different circumstances. This will have a high reference significance for women's lives and will also help them to correctly understand their own physical health conditions.
