What is the cause of the lump in the breast?

Women are prone to many breast diseases. When treating breast diseases, conservative treatment methods should be chosen, and the use of some stimulating treatments should be reduced to avoid causing more damage to oneself. So what happens if the breast feels lumpy? This is something many women are not clear about. There are some reasons why women experience this situation. Let's introduce them in detail below.

What if there is a lump in the breast?

(1) Breast lumps, accompanied by mild tenderness. The lumps are mostly near the periphery of the breast and are often confined to one side. As the lumps grow larger, they become cystic and may fluctuate near the periphery. This is related to the menstrual cycle and is considered breast hyperplasia.

(2) Women aged 40-50 years have bright red bloody discharge from the nipple and no breast pain, but a soft, painful lump about the size of a cherry can be felt near the nipple. Slight pressure on the nipple will cause bloody discharge. After the liquid flows out, the lump becomes smaller and the pain disappears. Intraductal papilloma is suspected.

(3) Lumps that are neither soft nor hard, have unclear boundaries, and are not tender during lactation are mostly caused by breast adenoma.

(4) Cyclic breast tenderness before menstruation, multiple nodular lumps felt in the breast, round, hard nodules with unclear boundaries that can be moved, and yellow-green, brown or bloody fluid oozing from the nipple, indicating suspected cystic breast hyperplasia.

(5) It is often seen in enlarged breasts. It has a smooth surface, soft texture, clear boundaries, and is painless to the touch. It is a breast lipoma.

After understanding what is going on when there are lumps in the breast, it is necessary to choose a variety of treatment methods to improve breast problems. At this time, women should also choose simple massage methods to relieve the lumps. If the problem is more serious, surgical treatment should be chosen to prevent the lumps from continuing to develop.
