How to repair cesarean scars

How to repair cesarean scars

Many modern pregnant women give birth by caesarean section. Although caesarean section reduces the pain of childbirth for pregnant women, we know that there are many harms. One of them is that the scar left by caesarean section is difficult to eliminate. It will always be with you and may be painful. Do you know how to make the scar less obvious? Let's take a look!

Scars are the final product of wound healing after filling, repair and healing through granulation tissue. During this process, the body usually releases a protein called "collagen" to repair wounds.

Generally speaking, human skin will leave temporary scars after being injured. As time goes by, all or part of the scars will gradually smooth out through the repair of "collagen". However, if the scar after injury proliferates excessively, it may form a solid tumor-like nodule or long strip of swelling over time, which may be sunken or raised on the skin surface or cause the surrounding skin to contract toward the scar area and gradually harden, and may even cause local muscle deformity and functional disorders.

Five tips for scar removal

(1) Massage

Rub the scar with the base of your palm, three times a day, each time for 5-10 minutes. This method is most effective for wounds that have just shed scabs, but is less effective for old scars.

(ii) Ginger rubbing method

Gently rubbing the scar with sliced ginger can inhibit the further growth of granulation tissue.

(III) Vitamin E application method

Vitamin E can penetrate into the skin to play its moisturizing effect. At the same time, vitamin E can also maintain skin elasticity. But you may not be familiar with the scar removal effect of vitamin E. Poke a hole in the vitamin E capsule with a needle, take out the liquid inside and apply it on the scar and gently massage for 5-10 minutes, twice a day. You will see better results if you persist.

(IV) Vitamin C smear method

Vitamin C has a whitening effect. Apply vitamin C to darker scars to whiten them and make them consistent with the tone of the surrounding healthy skin.

(V) Lavender essential oil application method

The beauty effects of lavender are always magical, and the effect of lavender essential oil in reducing scars is also widely recognized. However, lavender essential oil is not very effective for new scars or scars that are more than 8 years old. It is more effective for scars that are one to two years old. In addition, you should always be extremely careful when using essential oils. When applying essential oils to scars, be sure not to affect the skin without scars.
