What causes dysmenorrhea due to endometriosis?

Women don’t know much about endometriosis. This disease is related to their own lifestyle habits. For some women with bad living habits, it is easy to cause endometriosis. Therefore, in normal times, women should correct their lifestyle habits to avoid the occurrence of diseases. So what is endometriosis dysmenorrhea? The following is a detailed introduction.

What causes endometriosis dysmenorrhea?

Dysmenorrhea is one of the most common symptoms of endometriosis. The pain usually occurs in the lower abdomen, but sometimes it can extend to the waist and near the rectum and anus, or there may be pain during sexual intercourse. The severity of dysmenorrhea varies from person to person. In a small number of patients, chocolate cysts may rupture naturally during menstruation, causing sudden severe pain around the umbilicus or lower abdomen, accompanied by vomiting, anal swelling, etc. Secondary and progressively worsening dysmenorrhea is the characteristic of this disease.

Because of the local edema and bleeding of the ectopic endometrial lesions, which stimulate the peritoneum, pain occurs. About 70-80% of patients experience dysmenorrhea that becomes more severe year by year after a few years of menstruation. Generally, 1-2 days before menstruation, the lower abdomen begins to feel heavy or lumbar and sacral pain, and the anus is swollen and feels like defecation. The peak is on the second day of menstruation. Severe dysmenorrhea affects daily life, making it impossible to work, and even causing pain to "roll on the kang" or "bang your head". The symptoms of dysmenorrhea disappear with the end of menstruation.

For the treatment of endometriosis, if medication is used, the side effects are obvious; if abdominal surgery is used, it has its limitations. Traditional open abdominal surgery not only has a slow recovery and great trauma, but also leaves permanent scars.

After understanding what causes dysmenorrhea due to endometriosis, women with this disease will experience dysmenorrhea. Therefore, in treatment, it is also necessary to pay attention to choosing conservative treatment methods, which can effectively treat endometriosis and have no impact on their own health. Women should pay attention to this when treating endometriosis.
