The bodies of pregnant women are stimulated by a series of substances such as estrogen, and many changes abnormal to normal will occur. Most of them are normal and will not affect the health of pregnant women at all. However, there are some pregnancy conditions that are abnormal manifestations of the pregnant woman's body and require active treatment. So, why do pregnant women have high blood coagulation? Does high blood coagulation in pregnant women affect the fetus?

Does high blood coagulation in pregnant women affect the fetus?

High blood coagulation in pregnant women can have an impact on the fetus. Conditions such as fetal arrest, fetal death, repeated miscarriages, premature births, perinatal death, placental abruption, embryonic infarction, fetal growth restriction (FGR) and stillbirth may occur. As the procoagulant factors in the blood increase, the dissolution of free fatty acids will decrease and the anticoagulants will decrease. It can also cause adverse effects on pregnant women such as pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome (PIH), focal intravascular coagulation (DIC), and death. It is related to the interaction between congenital genetic thrombotic tendency, acquired secondary risk factors, and immune deficiency.

Why does blood coagulation increase during pregnancy?

Hypercoagulation in pregnant women is the result of the influence of various factors. Compared with normal people, the cohesion of pregnant women's blood will be higher, mainly to prevent excessive bleeding during pregnancy and postpartum bleeding, which is a normal pregnancy condition. However, if the blood of a pregnant woman is too coagulable and has the problem of hypercoagulation, it is mostly affected by other factors, such as immune imbalance, genetic factors, acquired influences and human body defects.

Pregnant women with hypercoagulable blood need certain treatment to reduce the viscosity of the blood, otherwise venous thrombosis is likely to occur, which will have a negative impact on the safety of pregnant women and fetuses. Pregnant women can take some medicines for anticoagulation and embolization treatment and reduce immune response, but they should consult a doctor before taking the medicine. In addition, pregnant women paying attention to their diet can also play a role in conditioning.

Pregnant women with hypercoagulable blood should drink more water, at least 2000ml of water a day, drink more nourishing soup in their daily diet, and eat food with light taste and less greasy taste as much as possible to reduce fat intake, which can soften blood vessels and reduce blood coagulation. Pregnant women should also eat more vegetables, supplement more vitamins and protect blood vessels.
