What are the treatments for moderate cervical erosion?

Moderate cervical erosion is quite common among women, mainly because most patients are unaware of it in the early stages of the disease, which causes the area and degree of erosion to become more severe. However, the treatment at this stage is not very difficult. Next, the editor will introduce some more suitable treatment methods in detail, hoping to bring effective help to all patients.

1. Drug treatment - small side effects, more suitable for women who have not given birth. Use a cotton swab to apply 10-30% silver nitrate solution or 10% iodine to the affected area carefully. After using silver nitrate, apply normal saline to convert excess silver nitrate into non-corrosive silver chloride. Take twice a week, 4 to 6 times as a course of treatment, and repeat if necessary. Potassium dichromate solution: Dip a cotton swab in the solution and carefully apply it to the affected area. Apply the solution once after the menstruation is over. Before applying the medicine, wipe the cervical mucus with 0.1% chlorhexidine, and place two cotton balls in the posterior fornix to prevent the medicine from flowing down and burning the vaginal mucosa.

2. Physical therapy - suitable for patients with moderate and severe cervical erosion. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. The disadvantage is that the side effects are large and may cause the nerve sensitivity of the vaginal wall to decrease. In addition, it is easy to relapse after being cured. First of all, we need to look at the extent and nature of the erosion. If it is mild and superficial erosion, even if the erosion surface is large, if the erosion is shallow and there is not much leucorrhea, it can be temporarily left untreated. If the papillary erosion is moderate or above, cancer prevention examination and treatment must be done.

3. Surgical treatment - If the above treatment is ineffective, or there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and wide, and involves the cervical canal, cervical conization or total hysterectomy may be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used nowadays.

I believe that everyone has learned about the treatment methods for moderate cervical erosion, and must be aware of the advantages and disadvantages of each treatment. Therefore, we must take a dialectical view during treatment, and it is best to go to the hospital for a detailed examination of the uterus and other parts before starting targeted treatment.
