Several periods in a woman's life when she should not drink tea

The Popular Health Network reminds female friends that it is not advisable to drink tea at the following times, otherwise it will be detrimental to your health.

1. Menstruation

Every month when good friends come to visit, menstrual blood will take away some iron, so women should supplement more iron-rich foods at this time, such as spinach, apples, grapes, etc. However, tea contains up to 30% to 50% tannic acid, which will hinder the intestinal mucosa's absorption and utilization of iron, and it is very easy to precipitate in the intestine with iron in the chyme or iron stones in blood tonics.

2. During pregnancy

The reason why pregnant women should not drink tea is that the caffeine concentration in strong tea is as high as 10%, which will increase the urination and heartbeat of pregnant women, increase the burden on the heart and kidneys of pregnant women, induce pregnancy toxification, etc., which is not conducive to the health of the mother and fetus.

3. Labor period

Drinking too much strong tea before delivery can cause insomnia due to the stimulating effect of caffeine. If you do not get enough sleep before delivery, it will often lead to exhaustion during delivery, weak labor pains, and even dystocia.

4. Lactation

If you want to breastfeed after giving birth, you should not drink a lot of tea. Because if you drink a lot of tea during this period, the high concentration of tannic acid in the tea will be absorbed by the mucous membrane and enter the blood circulation, which will have the effect of astringency and inhibiting mammary gland secretion, resulting in insufficient milk secretion.

On the other hand, the caffeine in tea can also enter the baby's body through breast milk and affect the baby's health.

5. Menopause

Since women begin to enter menopause at around the age of 45, in addition to dizziness and fatigue, they may sometimes experience tachycardia, emotional impulses, lack of sleep, menstrual dysfunction and other symptoms. Drinking too much tea will aggravate these symptoms and is not conducive to a comfortable menopause.
