Body temperature changes from ovulation to implantation

Body temperature changes from ovulation to implantation

Although the changes in the body caused by the combination of sperm and egg are not likely to be very large, and some are basically invisible, it is still possible to observe whether the body temperature changes after the embryo implants. Because the invention of the thermometer can solve such problems very well, what are the changes in body temperature during ovulation and implantation? Will the body temperature rise or fall after the embryo implants?

How long does it take for sperm and egg to implant into the uterus?

Generally speaking, the embryo will implant on the 6th or 7th day after the sperm and egg are fertilized. Embryo implantation means that the sperm and egg have already reached the uterus. 3-4 days after the embryo implants (that is, after the tenth day after ovulation), a weak positive result can be detected using a pregnancy test strip.

When the sperm and egg successfully implant and the embryo is fertilized, your body temperature will drop during ovulation, and some people may even bleed. People who feel emotional may experience soreness and pain, while others may experience cold symptoms. In summary, there are four points:

1) Body temperature drops during ovulation

2) Sudden pain in the abdomen

3) As if you have a fever or a cold

4) Breast pain and nipple tenderness

Naturally, the feeling of sperm and egg implantation varies from person to person and there is no uniform standard. But you will usually feel more tired and have a decreased appetite, so sometimes some symptoms may be caused by your own psychological factors. Generally, if the menstrual period has not come for 10 days, you can use an early pregnancy test to test yourself.

Body temperature changes after sperm and egg fertilization

The body temperature will drop after the embryo implants.

Implantation cooling is based on the ability to accurately measure ovulation temperature. The ovulation body temperature is to compare your own low temperature and high temperature. As long as the difference between the high and low temperature tests is more than 0.3~0.5 degrees, it is normal.

According to the ovulation temperature curve, you can make several more accurate judgments. When the temperature changes from low to high, there will be an extremely low temperature. This extremely low temperature is usually your ovulation period, because when the follicle ruptures, the estrogen will drop sharply, and the drop in estrogen will also affect the body temperature.

After entering the pink layer, the life of progesterone is 14 days, so the high temperature period will be maintained for about 12 days. When you find that between the 6th and 10th days after ovulation, the body temperature suddenly drops one day, and then rises significantly on the second day, this sudden low temperature is the implantation cooling.

There is also one thing to note: In general, women's body temperature is slightly higher than that of men of the same age. Women's body temperature is higher before menstruation, and it drops by about 0.2-0.3 degrees during menstruation. During ovulation, the body temperature generally drops by another 0.2 degrees, and then rises suddenly. During a woman's pregnancy (usually 3-4 weeks), her body temperature may continue to rise slightly. If the menstrual cycle has always been regular, but the menstruation did not come on time this time, and the body temperature during the ovulation period is above 37 degrees for more than three weeks, then after eliminating other fever conditions, it can be considered as early pregnancy.
